*Auburn's Pov*
Lying on the bed, fresh from the shower and wrapped in comfort, the sound of rain tapping against the window created the perfect backdrop for a quiet moment. The phone dinged, breaking the peace.
Miss Chocolate: "Hey, I think you're fine as hell. Can I get to know you?"
A quick reply followed, along with the exchange of phone numbers. The message left a curiosity hanging in the air. Phone tucked away in a pocket, the soothing rain sounds resumed, a gentle escape.
Suddenly, the phone vibrated, cutting through the calm with a loud buzz. The screen lit up, the incoming call signaling it was time.
"Hello?"
"I wondered if you were going to answer," came a voice, smooth and warm like velvet.
"Is this Miss Chocolate?" Curiosity mixed with a hint of unease.
"Yeah, but you can call me Savanna," she answered, a soft laugh lacing her words.
"Nice to meet you, Savanna. I'm Auburn."
"Nice to meet you too. Maybe we can sit down and talk sometime," she suggested, the tone light but inviting.
Then
crash.
Glass shattered somewhere on her end.
"Oh shit!" Her voice shifted, no longer playful, but tense.
"Are you okay?" Panic crept into the words.
There was a pause. Then, a distant shuffle, as though she was moving quickly, stumbling.
"Hello?" A voice barely above a whisper.
"Fuck," came the curse, followed by the unmistakable sound of a struggle.
"No! Please, don't..." Savanna's voice cracked, desperation filling the brief silence before a sharp scream echoed through the line.
The call disconnected.
Silence.
The phone slipped from trembling fingers, the screen still glowing with the last words exchanged.
What the hell just happened?
Something was wrong. Deeply wrong. And it had just started.
A/N: what do you all think I haven't written in a bit and I'm about to make a comeback.
