Ring Ring
I run over to the other side of the kitchen to grab my phone. One of my friends was going to ask out Kris which got all of us excited to know the answer.
"I can't do it Livvy!" Cries a voice from the phone.
"Woah slow down Sam tell me what happened!" I replied
"I walked into the coffee shop earlier and K-Kr-Kris h-h-h-"
"Spit it out sam!"
"He was kissing on Liz!"
"The girl from math class?"
"Yes!"
Sam starts balling on the other line. Sam had been in love with Kris secretly for 7 months and the secret had been too hard for her to keep. She was so excited for Kris to become her boyfriend she couldn't wait any longer.
Hearing Sam cry on the other side of the line broke my heart.
"Hey Sam it's okay I-I'm on my way to your house right now with a giant box of chocolates!" I said, trying to cheer her up.
"I'm too upset to eat anything right now, even chocolate." She replies between her cries.
"It's the kind with caramel in the middle!"
"How fast can you be here?"
I did the, blow air out of my nose type of laugh and hung up. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the car keys off of the key rack. I was very surprised that my mother left the keys out in the open. My little brother ate the car keys about 3 months ago. His tiny little fingers were just sneaky enough to reach up to the key rack and stick the dang keys in his mouth. It is still a mystery about how he swallowed them, but it happened.
I stick the keys in the car and listen to the sweet roar of a 2015 mustang. It was beautiful.
I park in the handicap parking lot because it is the closest to the store. Oops. What? I'll only be in the chocolate shop for 2 minutes! Don't act like you wouldn't! It's for your best friend!
The ding of the door opening was very melodic.
"Welcome!" Says a blue-eyed boy from behind the counter.
I smile at the boy and head into isle 2. The only place that you can find this much chocolate in Bellwind, is at the Din n' Dax chocolate factory. I scan the isle looking for the word 'Caramel'. It was Sam's favorite and I would get nothing but the best for her right now.
"Need any help?" Asked a low, sweet sounding voice.
I quickly turn around and the first thing I see are the pretty blue eyes. Time froze. I must've been staring into his eyes for days. Maybe months. I dunno.
He waves his hand in front of my eyes.
"Hellooooo?" He asks.
I start having a blinking attack.
"Oh I-I-I'm looking for u-um caramel chocolates?" I reply trying to get back onto earth.
He smirks and makes the follow me motion with his finger. He walks down another isle. Of course. I wasn't even in the right isle. Typical Olivia.
"Is this what you are talking about?" The guy asks.
He pointed to the exact chocolates I was looking for.
"U-Um yes thank you."
I quickly snatch the box of 12 chocolates off of the isle and follow the guy to the counter.
"That will be $2.67 miss. Actually, it's on me."
Why would he pay for a box of chocolates that I'm buying?
"Oh um thanks?" I reply
Another boy with the name tag that says Dinfi walks up to me.
"He is buying a box of chocolates for you because he thinks it's shark-week and he doesn't want to mess with that, plus he digs the beautiful chicks, like you." Said Dinfi bouncing his head between me and the blue eyed guy.
Clearly annoyed, I thank the blue-eyed guy for buying the chocolates and storm out of there.
I get in the mustang and drive to Sam's house. I wanted chocolate now just as much as Sam does.
