Shay's POV
I just debuted in a girl group at the age of 14. I'm the leader of the new girl group, Rhythm. The members just happen to be my childhood friends.
I'm so lucky, because I got signed at the same company as my big brother, Kim Heechul. Heechul is in the group, Super Junior. He debuted at the age of 23. I'm very proud of my big brother, but at the same time I'm very jealous of him. He's very good looking, and girls practically throw themselves at him. If only I was pretty enough, then I could tell my crush how I feel about him. Sadly he's my brother's band mate, so even if I could date him Heechul probably wouldn't allow it.
His name is Lee Hyukjae aka Eunhyuk. One of the most beautiful people in the world, and the one I hold dearest to my heart. I met him when we were trainees together. He was 17, when I was only 12. He always helped me with my dancing, and tried to help me keep my cool. He always carries a sweet smile, and a positive attitude. By Korean standards he's considered ugly, but to me he couldn't be more perfect. That's why I want to confess to him so bad. To prove to him that he is worth loving, and that he deserves it feel beautiful. I'm just afraid he will look down on me for my age. We are only 5 years apart, but he's already of age.
I'm currently standing in my mirror trying to look decent. I'm wearing a faded ACDC T-shirt, light blue jeans, and some black high tops. My hair is a newly dyed black, and my skin looks rather pale. I'm trying to apply makeup, so I don't resemble a dead person.
"What are you doing, Shay?" My best friend, Sami asked as she took a seat beside me.
"I'm planning on confessing to Hyukjae, and I want to look decent." She then gave me an encouraging smile. Sami is the only one I told about my crush on Hyukjae. Her situation is similar to mine. She had a crush on Donghae, and confessed to him. He then accepted her, and they started dating. Like Hyukjae and I, Donghae and Sami are 5 years apart. They have permission to date as long as they keep it secret from the public at least, until Sami is of age.
"I wish you the best." She said as I put on my jacket.
"Thanks Sami." I then gave her a hug, before I sprinted out the dorm. Super Junior's dorm is literally 3 doors down from ours. I then knocked on the door, and thankfully it was Hyukjae who answered.
"What are you doing here, Shay? If you are looking for Heechul, he's at a photoshoot." I then shook my head.
"I came, because I need to talk to you." He then gave me a confused look, before letting me in.
"Let's go to the balcony, it's kinda stuffy in here." He said as he pulled back one of the glass doors, and stepped onto the balcony. I then followed, and closed the door behind us. I then looked over at Hyukjae as the moonlight reflected off his skin. He looked like an angel. "What did you need to talk about?" He asked he stared at the city below. I then stood beside him, and sighed deeply. It's now or never.
"There's something I've wanted to tell you for quite a long time." I admitted.
"What's that?" He asked as his eyes stayed glued to the scenery below.
"I really like you, Hyukjae. I want you to be my boyfriend." I said quickly, but clearly. He then turns his attention towards me, and studied my face for a moment. He then sighed as he turned his gaze up towards the sky.
"You seem genuine." He said as I gave him a strange look.
"You don't believe me?" I asked.
"I believe you, but there's a few problems." I then sighed, and prepared for the worst.
"Like?"
"Your brother, our careers, and your age." I then swallowed hard.
"So you won't give me a chance?" I asked in a sad tone.
"I'll give you a chance, when you turn 19." I then gave him another odd look.
"Why not now?"
"Because you are too young. I want you to do some growing up, and thinking about what you want." I then blinked in confusion.
"I want you."
"Right now you do, but wait 3 years and see if you change your mind. If not then I'll give you a chance, but if you do then I want you to move on." I then let his words sink in. Is this his way of testing my feelings for him? If so, then bring it on.
