Victoria G: What inspired you to become an actor?

Jonathan Bouvier: I think I've always been able to find the little kid inside when I'm acting. It brings out the fun and spontaneous side of me. I can be someone totally different and it's such a good time to be had.

VG: What is your favorite project you have ever done?

JB: I did a Lifetime film called Deadly Excursion where I got to do some fight scenes on boats and beaches. It was such a fun ride. I also was playing a character that I really enjoyed, so that helped as well.

VG: Which character that you have played so far has been the most similar to you?

JB: I did a short film called "WHO." Very few people have seen it, but I played a character named Jimmy. And in the film I was being interrogated with questions that I didn't know the answers to (for the most part). So I guess I'm like Jimmy. Sometimes I feel like I don't have a clue what's going on, but I'm surviving.

VG: How would you describe yourself in three words?

JB: Real, intentional, random.

VG: Do you have any hidden talents?

JB: I do a lot of photography/videography when I'm not acting. I even have a website and run an Instagram page.

VG: What is something not many people know about you?

JB: Sometimes I still play "pretend" when no one is in the room.

VG: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

JB: I hope I'm fortunate enough to be acting full time. But if nothing else, I'd love to be married to my current fiancé, and possibly even have a few little versions of us running around.

VG: What are your social media handles?

JB: I'm really only on Instagram with @jon_bouvier (@jbphotography.co is my photography page if you're interested)

VG: What advice do you have for an aspiring actor?

JB: The rejection that this industry will give you is absolutely no joke, but it's also nothing personal. You may be the best actor that auditioned for a role, but you might have the wrong color eyes. It's a sad reality of the business, but don't let it hold you back. You've got to stay mentally tough or your auditions will suffer and so will your own mental state.

VG: What's next for you?

JB: I've got a film (No Time to Run) and TV show (Hot Date) coming out relatively soon. And I'm in talks to start filming another Lifetime film in the next few months. So keep your eyes peeled for all that.
