Mayor Nick's Goodbye - ACNL Fanfiction

Mayor Nick's POV

Today is August 1st, and you know what that means! It's finally time for my summer vacation! Even though it's only a month, I'm kind of worried for the town. I'm giving Isabelle the honour of being mayor while I'm gone, and there will be a mandatory plaza ceremony, where I give Isabelle the Mayor's Badge. Isabelle should be calling everyone to the plaza now through the PA system, and then we will go to the plaza.

"Attention, residents! Please meet at the town plaza!" Isabelle says through her PA system.

Me and Isabelle ran to the plaza, and Rolf and Jeremiah were already there. Jeremiah lives the closest to the plaza so of course he is there first, and Rolf always hangs out near the plaza because he likes getting his fortune told by Katrina. And it turns out Katrina was in town today.

Once everybody got there I said this into the microphone:

"Hello residents of Aurora. I will be taking my summer vacation from August 1st to September 1st. Isabelle will have the Mayor's Badge and have full control of the town while I am gone. I will now hand the Mayor's Badge to Isabelle. See you soon!"

I handed the badge to Isabelle and everyone clapped.

After the ceremony, Rolf, Bangle, Jeremiah, Celia and Lucha came to the train station to watch me leave.

"G-goodbye, Mayor!" Celia said while tearing up.

"It's okay, Celia. I won't be gone for long." I said to comfort her.

I saw the train coming, the gates opened, and I got into the train.

"See you soon." everyone says. I waved, the train doors closed, and I was off to Lunari for vacation."

(A/N: -pastelpeaches- >:))). I actually got the idea for this story from me not playing Aurora for 4 days. I just thought "what if I make a story about me going on vacation?" So I did :p)
