It was now night and at the dance, some boys playing the flute others on the violin most of them gathered around the fire drinking, or dancing to the tune.
I smiled standing alone as William was dancing with a girl but I don't think he likes her that way does he?... I watch Elizabeth dance with Harry making me smile at them.
Then feeling a tap on my shoulder I turn around almost bumping into the person but they grab ahold of my hips, I went to slap them but they grabbed my wrist I noticed it was Richard.
"Richard- I- you scared me." I said
He smirked "That's for scaring all of us earlier" he said and winked "I see Williams dancing with another girl." He said I just frowned.
"If you came to me just to brag it in my face feel free to leave." I said going to walk away but he grabbed me again.
"I was thinking, how would you like to dance with me?" He asks I look at him and cross my arms "And why would I?" I ask trying to play hard to get.
He just rolls his eyes taking my arm dragging me basically "What are you doing?"
"Dancing with you now come on" he soon faces me. "No you see I can't dance-" I say he looks at me smirking "Than I'll teach you." He says he soon started doing so only for me to step on his left foot.
"I'm sorry." I said getting off immediately "It's fine" he grunted "I tried telling you I- I can't da-" I started
"Sh no more talking now put your feet on mine" He said.
I looked at him confused but did so and he swayed us back and forth making me giggle "See now you're "dancing". He said making me grin but then for some reason I felt a weird guilty feeling which made me frown.
I felt eyes on us and I looked over seeing a not so happy William "It's working" Richard whisper in my ear.
"I guess so..." I said he picked me up spinning me around in the air making me squeal as he set me down. William came over shoving Richard "Hey what's your problem?!?" Richard asks causing a scene.
William takes his guns out "What's my problem? My problem is you're dancing with my girl." He shouted.
"In my defense you were dancing with someone else." Richard said.
"William can you just put your guns away and talk alone?" I said crossing my arms and sighing.
He just does so and we leave for a bit walking "Look, when I saw you with that other girl it hurt me." I said
He just looks down I know else was thinking hard on what to say because he couldn't get the words out of his mouth.
"Mary. I think we shouldn't be friends..." he said.
