When Jack's at the studio, that's my practice time. When he's not on tour, my time to myself is important because he's constantly up my ass.
I was seated at our piano, playing one of my favorite songs, My Immortal. It was one of the first songs I learned to play on the piano. It was so beautiful, slow, and heart-felt. Even performing it nearly brought me to tears. I got so into my work, making sure I hit all of the right keys and hit all of the right tones.
I stopped playing and took a calm, relieved breath. I heard struggling sounds and quickly turned my head. Jack stood in the doorway, his face red with a crooked smile on his face.
"Jack! I didn't see you come in!" I stood up, alarmed at his presence. I was embarrassed. "Are you okay?"
"Ha, yeah, I'm fine." He wiped his face of what I assumed was tears and came towards me. "I didn't know how well you played. It sounded beautiful."
"I've never seen you like this." I chuckled as I embraced him tightly.
"You need to play more often! The guys need to hear you!" He held my shoulders away from him, smiling wide and full of adrenaline.
"I wouldn't push it that far." I blushed, looking away.
"Baby, don't underestimate yourself." He kissed my forehead. My heart fluttered. "Trust me, they'll love you."
