Cora's POV
I definitely have the best friend ever, Nina is gonna fly all the way here just to pretend to be my date.
Now I have to go pick a dress but I still have time for that, I'll plan something to do with her while she's here, I'm really exited to show her my hometown.

I'm making my way to class and talking to Dev about yesterday, well, she's talking while I'm thinking on how will I repay Nina for this.
"So, did you figure it out?"
"Huh?"
"I asked you if you figured the whole prom situation out"
"Oh, yeah I...um... I asked some friends of mine to help me, and one of them said yes"
"Then what's got you so deep in thought?"
"It's just that my friend lives in California, she's gonna fly all the way here to help me with my lie and I want to make it up to her but I don't know how yet"
"Oh, so it's a girl?"
"Yeah"
"Hmmm..."
"What?"
"It's just that out of everyone you know you chose to ask a girl and she said yes" she said wiggling her eyebrows, I rolled my eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, nothing, just that it seems that you chose to take advantage of the whole 'I want it to be a surprise' thing"
"Well, it sure helped but it's not like I only asked her"
"Oh yeah, who else did you ask?"
"I asked 4 other girls..." She smirked and raised an eyebrow "a-and a guy" I blushed as she started teasing me again.
"Chill girl, your gay is showing"
"I'm not..." I was gonna say something else when my phone rang, I pulled it out of my pocket, it was a text from Nina.
Nina: I just realised how much being your "date" reminds me of the lyrics of Sexy Ladies.
Cora: does that mean we'll watch Friends and cuddle?
Nina: if that's what you want then yes.
I heard laughter next to me "So...no homo huh?" Dev said standing beside me and staring at my phone.
I blushed "No, Nina and I are just friends"
"That sleep together and watch Netflix as they cuddle?"
"

Yeah"
"Sure Jan" she said and then walked into the classroom, we have math this period, I sighed this is gonna be a long day.

Nina's POV
I Really like Cora and I want to help her but I said yes before asking my parents for permission, I hope they let me go.
"Hey dad?"
"Yes?"
"Do you remember my friend Cora?"
"Yeah, the small beatboxer right?"
"Uh...y-yes, her, she asked me, well, she mentioned that she didn't have a prom date, she told Kaedi, Kaylah and Hannah too, and they couldn't go so I-I'm...I have to...no! I don't have to, I asked her if I could be her date a-and she said yes and..."
"Jesus Nina, I had never seen you this nervous before, you want to know if it's ok for you to go to Missouri to be her date?" My mom said interrupting my rambling
"Yes! I mean, yeah, I wanted to know if I could go"
"Sure kid"
"Really?!"
My dad chuckled "yeah, really"
"Thank you! Both of you, you're the best parents ever!"
My mom giggled "just make sure you take a lot of pictures of your second prom and make sure to make Cora's prom really special" she winked and left the room leaving my dad and I confused as hell.
I quickly hugged my dad and went to my room, played some music and began to plan my outfit, what should I wear? A dress? Or a suit maybe? I mean, I know I look good in a suit...Cora is probably gonna wear a cute dress though so maybe I should wear one too.
I was pulled from my thoughts by Scott and Mitch's voices...

hat sounds a lot like what I'm doing, I sent Cora a text and got a notebook out, I like to write my plans down to remember what I'm going to do even though I rarely ever forget them.
Cora answered my text and I couldn't help to think it was a great idea, we should binge watch one of her favorite shows, maybe Supergirl, I've never watched it but I'm pretty sure it's good, Cora has a very good taste for that kind of stuff. I wrote that down which added another point to my list:
1. Get a dress
2. Pack
3. Go to Missouri
4. Spend time with Cora
5. Watch Supergirl with Cora
6. Take her out for dinner
7. Go to prom with Cora (eventually)
8. Meet Mabel
9. Buy Mabel some treats
I looked at it and made no sense "This is mess" I whispered to myself "this is gonna be harder than I expected".

(A/n): writing Nina's to do list reminded me a lot of a SpongeBob episode where he has a to do list and every single one of the activities include Patrick.
