Why Did You Leave Me

"Mommy?!" ²the toddler wept as she stood above her mother decaying corpse. Blood all over her hands and a giant hole in her mother's stomach. She stood up angrily crumbling the note her mother had given her just before losing all signs of life in her eyes. She kicked the ground only to  spread blood onto her bruised bare feet. She turned pain aching in her chest as she began to run leaving her mother lying on the wet, muddy ground. She ran to her destination where she was told to go. Rain poured down as every steo she took hit the ground with a splash from puddles of water.

Out of breath she hesitantly stood at the door. Shaking violently in fear and anger. She loosened her grip on the note staring at it. She was cold and freezing from the rain constantly pouring on her as it was doing now.

She look back at the door and as she was about to knock the door suddenly opened startling her. She reacted quickly jumping back creating distance between her and the silver haired man. Realizing who it was she slowly walked up to him and held her hand out to him giving him the note. He raised a eye brow at the girl and looked at the crumbled note in her hand. He took it and lifted the girl up taking her inside.

•Kakashi's POV•

I picked up the child and sat her on the couch. I went to fetch a blanket and wrapped it around her trembling body. After making sure she was ok I look at the note she had given me.

Dear Hataki,

I know that I won't be alive by the time you recieve this note. Someone is searching for me because of the rannigan eye I possess. Of course they don't know about Toka because I had kept her a secret. Toka possesses the Rannigan in one eye while sharingan in the other. One more thing is she withholds a jinchuriki and a kekkei genkei that is sadly unknown to me . I know special but it's also dangerous. Please take care of her. I love you Kashi

I looked at the trembling child. Confused. I had left Merino a few years back, and seeing a tiny version of me and her here now is a huge responsibility I can't handle but I'll try. Folding the note neatly and placing it in my pocket. 'I have to report this to Lord Hokage.'  I sweat dropped as I remember why I was leaving the house in the first place. Sighing I walked up to the child known as Toka. She had my hair but it was paler, and waist length. Her skin looked smooth just like her mother's she looked just like her,even had her pale lavender eyes. Kneeling in front of her I gently place my hand on her head. "Hey Toka I have to go on a mission I know I shouldn't leave you here by your—

"I can take care of myself" she said bluntly slapping my hand away. Great she acts like her too. Sweet so so sweet..... I nodded at her and left out the door. She gonna be the death of me.

•Toka's POV•

I heard the door close signaling that he was gone. Sighing I decided to look for the bathroom and spare clothes. Mom said she used to visit Kakashi before I was born and had left clothes over here and of course vice versa. Climbing off of the couch with the blanket on my shoulders gripping it slightly so it doesn't slip off. As soon as my feet hit the floor I flinched and jerked my feet back up whining in pain.

I had forgotten my feet we badly injured due to running with no shoes. Trying hardly not to fall I slowing out pressure on my feet whimpering with every step I took. I made it to a room and walked in. It had a bed and a desk that took up the room. Very plain to say the least. I looked around and found the closet. Hanging up was Kakashi's clothes and a lot of my moms Ninja outfits. 'I'm gonna become a ninja just like mom'

I grabbed the smallest one of my mother's shirts I could spot and some shorts. Placing the fabric up to my nose slightly sniffing it. It smelled just like her.

After bathing I put ointment onto my feet and climbed into Kakashi's bed. Pulling the cover over my head darkness consumed me as I my tiny body had laid motionless. But I swear that I felt a kiss being placed on my forehead which brought a smile to my face. Then I herd a chuckle then I was out like a light.
