Ryan's pov

October 1, 2018

"I miss you Rae." I mumble to my late girlfriends headstone as I stand up, hearing Chad yell for me to get back to the jeep.

As I'm walking I remember the night she died.

"Ryan, this was fun." Rae says as she leans her head on my shoulder as I drive down the highway.

As we drive down the highway, I notice a car sitting in the middle of the road, its 4 ways on and someone out changing the rear left tire and slam on the brakes as i turn the car towards the guardrail and I release the brakes and straighten out the wheel and see the guy flip me off and I return it.

"That was not a good idea, Ry. Let's not do it again." Rae says and i nod, driving on to her house when suddenly I see a tree in the middle of my way nd try to stop but the car hits it head on and the last thing I hear is Rae's loud scream.

"Ryan!"

"Man, you okay?" Chad asks me as I trace the scar from the accident on my arm and I nod.

"Hey, man. I get it. You miss Rae. Hell we all do. I mean, Dan knew her before we did because she used to live in Vancouver and they were cousins. Let's just try to have a good night, okay?" Chad says and I nod as I pull my sleeve and grab my guitar for the show as I remember when I woke up in the hospital.

"R-Rae?" I ask out, my voice scratchy from not being used recently.

"Ryan, it's okay, man." I hear Chad's voice say and open my eyes to see him, my parents, and Rae's parents there.

"Rae..." I mumble as I fall back asleep, dreaming about her.

October 4, 1989

"Ryan, honey, let's go." My mom says as she tries to get me to leave Rae's grave as I cry on the loose dirt of the grave.

"No! It's my fault! I killed her! I killed her!" I wail out as i push her away from me and cry into the loose dirt of her grave.

"Man, I'm gonna head back to the hotel room." I say and leave the guys and walk back to the hotel room.

Entering the room I'm sharing with Chad, I sigh as lay on the bed and play the song Last Kiss by Pearl Jam on my phone as I fall asleep, holding Rae's picture against my chest.

"I'm so sorry, Rae." I say as I fall asleep with tears sliding down my face.
