One hour later
I am now in the headmistress' office for over an hour. My two aunts are there as well, listening to the old cow.
"How is the girl?" Darcy asks with fake concern.
The old headmistress sighs deeply. "Fortunately for everyone," she insists, staring at me. "Eirlys hasn't got the necessary level of power to inflict severe wounds yet."
Too bad.
"But the little Julia is in a state of shock..." she continues.
Yeah, right. She is only pretending!
"And her parents demand explanations."
Well, why don't you simply tell them that their daughter is just a filthy pretentious and vicious little goose?!
"Nevertheless, I would like to hear your niece's version of events."
"So do I." aunt Darcy assures in a voice that gives me shivers.
I don't dare to look at them, so I keep staring down at my shoes.
"She stole the photo of mum. And she laughs at me everyday with the others. She had to pay." I mumble."Pay??" the headmistress exclaims, shocked to hear such words coming from an eleven-year-old girl. "Even if it is true, it was enough to go tell a teacher and talk about it, rather than-..."
That's it. Enough is enough. I stand up.
"No one would have believed me anyway! Everybody hates me! And I hate you all as well! You, your filthy school, and all its students! That school should burn!" I shout in rage.
Stormy grabs my arm, trying to calm me down. I pull away.
"I don't care anyway, I am proud of what I've done! And I will do it again to anyone attacking me! I will become a powerful witch just like my mother and no one will ever doubt my value ever again!" I shout, feeling tears in my eyes.
"Eirlys, shut your mouth!" Darcy orders.
I try to catch my breath, sniffing and wiping my tears away. The headmistress stares at me, looking uncomfortable.
"I didn't know all of that, Eirlys. Unfortunately, such an attack on another student can't go unpunished. I am afraid I have to expel you from this school." she sighs.
Pff. She didn't understand a thing. I don't care about her stupid school! I don't want to stay there anyway!
I can see my two aunts pale. Apparently, they don't share my point of view."Expel?" Darcy repeats in disbelief.
"But how is she going to continue her studies?" Stormy asks, frowning.
"There are other middle schools in the Magic Dimension." the headmistress replies, sounding hesitant. "Or alternatively, private teachers could-..."
"That's nonsense!" Stormy snaps.
"You wouldn't have expelled a fairy, isn't that right, Mrs. Torrance?" Darcy says in a calm voice, narrowing her eyes at the old lady.
"Oh, but we do not make any distinction between-..." the headmistress retorts, sounding offended.
"Bloom's son and Icy's daughter?" Stormy finishes the lady's sentence sarcastically.
I snort in amusement. Aunt Stormy has always been excellent at screwing everything up with just one comment. Take this, you stunted old shrew!
As the old headmistress looks speechless, my aunts stand up in unison.
"I think everything has been said." Darcy says coldly. "Come on, Eirlys. Let's get out of here."
