The nurse showed her badge to the soldier before she was allowed to go inside.
"What do you mean, doctor?" Major Hawthorne asked.
"As we explained to his wife, the captain seemed to be electrocuted from the inside. And, we cannot explain how he survived that ordeal. We have a lot of questions that science could not explain."
"You do not have to worry about it, doctor." Major Hawthorne began to say. "Effective this moment, all the doctors and medical personnel who are involved in providing medical care to the captain and his men will be under the military custody."
"Whoa! We have rights Major Hawthorne; you cannot yank us from our lives and families with just cause."
"This is a matter of national security and I believe that overrides whatever rights you are talking about."
Major Hawthorne took his phone and called someone. "Quarantine the hospital. Seal all entrance. Nobody gets in or out without my authorization. All medical emergencies will be diverted other facilities."
After the major made his call, within minutes that hospital was swarming all over the place, they began gathering the medical personnel and extracting them along with Captain Santiago's men out of the hospital.
"You cannot do this major." The doctor said.
"Watch me." Major Hawthorne said. "Arrest this man." He told the soldiers at the door of Captain Santiago's room.
As he was about to open the door, the door began to clatter, and the ground began to shake. Major Hawthorne pushed the door opened, and there was a blinding light. It became intense and too bright. Suddenly, the place began shaking and the power went out. The emergency power went up. Then, it was all over.
When Major Hawthorne opened his eyes, he went to Captain Santiago's room right away. And, what he saw shocked him. Captain Santiago was no longer there.
