It has been 7 years,
7 years of absolute torture from the person who was supposedly perfect.
He would progress,
strengthen his army,
then come back home to me.
If he was furious,
he would take it out on me.
If he was satisfied,
he would spoil me.
He was like a rollercoaster,
scary yet thrilling.
"I'm home!" The door was shut unostentatiously, usually, this was a beacon that he had accomplished something and was in a good mood.
I hastened down the stairs, bowing, to him this was a sign of respect and action that meant I knew he was more powerful.
"How was your trip?" Delicately taking off his black coat, trying my best to not touch the bloodstains.
"It was good, I know have the Greengrass recruiting more of the wealthy families. Rotten people, they're, always greedy for money, but they hold power which is what I desire," I hummed, agreeing to him for the fear of my life.
A kiss was planted on my rosy cheek, "Where is Joo-ha?". Joo-ha is our 7-year-old son. Tom didn't fancy a familiar name, so he chose to name our first child a name from a distinct language.
Tom was excited to know I was pregnant with an heir, likely, he would kill me if I carried a female. He wasn't sexist, no, he just wanted our leading youth to be a male.
"He's upstairs studying, seems to develop your habits," Joo-ha was a comely young boy, he certainly took after Tom. The boy was just as charming and sly as his father, ostensibly to inherit exceptional looks as well. Anyone who would have observed him would say he was a comprehensive child, engaging, intelligent, charming and was certainly good with his words.
However, unlike Tom, Joo-ha could love. I think he just believes in the 'mates' thing. Like there was only one person in the world for him.
