"I WANT MY RAINBOW PONY!"
Maralie's screams could be heard everywhere in the Sanctuary. Valkyrie laughed as Maralie reached for her My Little Pony, totally ignoring Nye's orders.
Nye sighed. It gave Maralie the pony and she giggled happily.
"Now do NOT move your arm again." Nye warned once more before turning around and leaving the room.
Maralie stuck her tongue out at her before playing with her pony again.
Jessica was dead. Dynamo had shot her with Skulduggery's gun before it melted in his hand.
Apparently, they hadn't died. It had just been an afterwave of Dynamo's powers exploading.
Fletcher and Maralie were in love. Valkyrie could see it, plain and simple. To be honest, Valkyrie didn't really mind. They were a cute couple, even though there was a 4 year gap. But age doesn't matter, right? What matters is that they were happy. That's all that counts.
"Mara," Fletcher grinned. "I got you a present."
Maralie's face lit up. "What? What?"
Fletcher hobbled over to her on his crutches and gave her a little box, wrapped with a bow on it.
Maralie squealed and opened the box excitedly.
"OH MY GOSH!" she shrieked. "YOU GOT ME ORANGE PONY!"
They all laughed and Skulduggery grunted. He had broken his jawbone yet again, and wasn't allowed to speak.
But all that matters was that they were all there.
Together.
As a team.
... But not for long...
