Chapter 95: Runner ka, sizt?

LLUVIA'S POV

Pagkalabas na pagkalabas ko sa bahay ay dali-dali akong tumakbo palayo without even minding Perseus who's calling my name from behind.

Nakakainis. Sa sobrang pagkahalo ng nararamdaman ko tanging pagtakbo lang talaga ang unang pumasok sa isip ko just to escape the situation.

At sa pagtakbo ko, I end up in a children's playground. Umupo kaagad ako sa swing at don huminga ng malalim.

Maybe..

I'm the coward, after all. Im a coward for running from the same situation, not even once but twice.

Ilang minuto pa ang lumipas...

"F-finally, I caught you."

Inangat ko ang aking tingin and there I saw Perseus chasing his own breath in front of me.

Gusto kong tumayo at tumakbo ulit. I want to flee again but my feet just don't move. Parang nafreeze ako ngayong nasa harap ko na si Perseus

I know that it just happens just a few minutes ago but I literally don't know how to face Perseus again now that I realize how coward and fool I am.

Instead of staying in front of me, he sats on the other swing just beside me.

A moment of silence passes between us until he decided to speak.

"I--"

Umalis ako sa pagkakaupo ko sa swing. Hahakbang na sana ako papalayo ng--

"Planning to run away again?" he asked from behind.

I froze.

"Go on. You can run away. You can escape. You can fled whenever or wherever you want. But those things won't stop me from chasing you. I'll always chase you no matter how far you will be. I'll still chase you no matter what way you get away from me or how many times you'll do it." pagpapatuloy nya pa.

I bit my lower lip as I froze in my own position.

"W-why?"mahina kong sabi  habang nagtitimpi

"Why, Perseus?!" I asked losing all my shit as I turned around facing him.

And there I saw him, looking up the sky while smiling and then he looks at me.

"The answer is always three words, my Andromeda. I love you." he said as he genuinely smiles at me and starts approaching me.

He stops in front of me and sincerely look at me with his tiring eyes.

Alam kong hindi pa ayos ang kalagayan nya, despite of knowing that, eto pa din ako mas lalong pinapasama yung sitwasyon.

He suddenly hugs me tight.

"M-maybe I really am not the b-best for you, Perseus." garalgal kong sabi.

"You are more than the best. Just believe yourself more than I believe in you, my Andromeda." he replied.

I suddenly remember a line from a book I've read recently;

'Wag mong hayaang sila ang manawa sa'yo. Hindi sa lahat ng oras ikaw ang dapat na sinusuyo.'

"I'm sorry. I am very sorry, Perseus." I said as I plant my face onto his chest.

I felt his hand combing my hair as he tries to comfort me.

Napahiwalay ako sa yakap ng maalalang masama nga pala ang pakiramdam nya.

"Shit. I really make everything worse. Masama pa ang pakiramdam mo. Tara na." yaya ko sa kanya.

"Ikaw 'tong nagpahabol e."  sambit naman nya.

"I will really apologize for it on my entire life. Im really really sorry, ok?"  seryoso kong sabi.

"E-eh. Nagjojoke lang. Don't take it too serious." he said then laughs it off.

Im about to say something but he covered my mouth for a sec then suddenly grabs my hand.

Ramdam ko ang init nya kahit na katabi nya lang ako.

Damn, Andromeda what a stupid and dramatic ass you have. Napunta lang sa wala ang pagtakbo-takbo kong 'yun e, magpapahuli lang din naman pala ako.

Well, atleast things are much clearer now.

Pumara ako ng taxi pabalik sa bahay dahil baka biglang magcollapse to sa daan. Also I really don't remember in which way or how did I end up to that playground.

"What if you can't stop Mom?" he asked at the middle of our way.

Tingnan mo 'to. Just a moment ago, he really shows how much he believes in me and now he's asking that negative question.

"I'll build my own company that will crash your Mom's and I'll ruin her life just like how she ruined mine." sabi ko habang nakasandal ang ulo sa bintana ng taxi.

"Pretty harsh?" he said as he chuckles

"Kung mangyayari nga yon." I said with a playful tone.

Nang makarating sa tapat ng bahay ko nakapark pa rin ang kotse ng Mom nya pero may napansin akong isa pang kotse na hindi ko naman nakita kanina.

"Oh come on. I brought your car just like what you said." a familiar voice said and it's pretty much loud that I can hear it just by the door.

Nang makapasok ng tuluyan...

Now that's why the voice is familiar. It's Hui with a surprise look.

"Thank God, you're good." Jane said as she looks at Perseus worriedly and tries to approach him but Perseus suddenly blacks out.

"Oh my gosh. Hui, help!" Jane said as she and I tries to hold Perseus.

Naibalik naman sa kwarto ng ayos si Perseus, it's a big thing that Hui is here kundi baka nahirapan kami kanina.

I worriedly look at Perseus knowing that it's my fault he's drained.

"Looking  worried? Just let him be with me and you'll never see him like that." sabi ni Jane na may pang-aasar pa sa tono. "Stop being an asshole na pinapagod lang si Perseus!"

"C-cous!" saway naman ni Hui.

"What?! Im just telling the better and the truth here" Jane insisted.

"I'm sorry for my cousin, Lluvia." sabi pa ni Hui.

"No it's okay, Hui. Don't be sorry for your stupid cousin. She definitely don't know who's this girl she's talking to." I confidently said and gave her a mini-death-glare.
