The Event

The annual business event, this takes place on the 15th of August every year. It's an event that brings all the biggest business men and women of New York together. They do this for charity. Basically, every business person comes to this location-it changes every year-and have fun while donating to a charity fundraiser.

However, it isn't always as easy as it seems. Whoever came up this idea is an idiot, why would you bring people who have massive egos and a heavily disliking for each other, together? There is always some problem, minor or major, but every year it seems to get worse and this year won't be any different.

You see, my boss, Micheal H Byam, is a worldwide business man. Everyone loved him and everyone wanted to either work with him or for him, myself included, until a certain brunette came into the picture and boy was Micheal upset.

Everyone now in turn, wanted to work for her which is understandable, I mean she's built her own empire by herself, not only that, she's a female in a male dominated industry and she's at the top, she's running things right now. She's the face of the industry and Micheal hated her.

My feelings were the exact opposite...I loved her, her ambition, her assertiveness and the drive she has to achieve what she wants, sometimes when I defended her against Micheal, he would threaten my job status.

When I first started working for Micheal, he was nothing like he seemed. In public, he's this nice, good looking guy who is also really brilliant and a plus is being the founder of one of the best smartphones in history. In private, he was stuck up, stubborn and condescending.

If you didn't do something right and you caught him on a bad day, good riddance. He often fired employees for minor fuck ups. That's how I got my job, his last assistant apparently didn't do what he needed and well, good bye.

Everyone tried warning me though, saying things like "he's a sexual predator" and "be careful around him" and "never be alone in the same room" which honestly scared me but after a month or two, I started getting comfortable in his presence. Then he later explained to me that he dated his last assistant and things ended badly hence the firing but he did tell me that she was kinda crazy, I didn't believe him until she started stalking me and wondering if I was his new girlfriend which in all honesty, eww, men. But Micheal have grown on me and now he's nicer but I still walk on eggshells around him.

August 15th
The day I've been dreading, If I could back out trust me, I would but it's essential for me to be here. Micheal was fuming because he had to see who he hated most, I still don't understand the animosity and tension there. They've only met like twice and Micheal absolutely hates her guts while I saw no reason but to be kind. Even a smile at her would get me a glare and a warning from Micheal.

For an odd reason everytime we're around her, he forces me to call him Mr. Byam, I mean it's normal for assistants to do that but everywhere else I could call him Micheal. It's some weird thing but whatever, I don't talk much when they are discussing matters anyways.

We've finally arrived and stepped out, Micheal activated his good guy persona and strutted down the walkway like he's the king with me trailing behind. We were escorted to the top floor of the building where the rest of the moguls resided. We weren't the first but not the last.

2 hours, it's been 2 fucking hours of none stop bragging and egos being hurt, I just sat there bored out of my mind. I noticed from my peripheral vision that Ariana was looking at me, she has been looking at me since she arrived about an hour and a half ago. I started getting uncomfortable so I excused myself to the washroom. I turned the corner to the bathroom only to be slammed against the wall and lips smashed onto mine. I pulled away to see....
