The next day, I went out venturing into the forest to find the Wisps or the which. (Which ever one came first!) This time though, I went alone. No horse or companion. All I had was by bow, my arrow, and me myself and I! I tried to poof myself there but it didn't work. There must have been a force field or some kind of magic around it. So I decided to walk. As I walked deeper into the forest, I felt like something was following me. I turned around and nothing was there. "I must be paranoid" I told myself. Then I heard it again. "It must have been the wisps! They are following me!" I said aloud. I went a little further and as soon as I heard it again I turned and before me was not a wisp. It was not at all what I expected to find! My father just stood there. I looked at him so bewildered I though I might scream. "Father? What in the world are you doing here?" I spoke for the first time. "I.. uh... I was.. um." He stuttered. "There is no way you can get out of this one!" I said. "I was only following you to see where you were going. You didn't tell anyone so I figured, 'why not follow her and see where it leads' and my plan was foolishly foiled." He spoke softly and I felt bad for putting him down like that. "I'm sorry father. I do not know what got into me." I apologized. "I shall leave you to do what you want darling. See you at the castle." "Bye father."
And when I turned around, there was a tiny blue creature just floating in front of me. Has this been there the whole time? Or had it popped up when my father left? Oh well. One thing is for sure. I had now found one and I intended to follow it until it lead me to the old witches hut. I went here and there. It was not the same route I took the last time. It veered me through muck and branches and bushes and mud. But, once again, it lead me to the witches hut like I thought it would. One look at my dress and I was horrified. It was ripped and there was mud all over it. With the quick wave of my wand I re-newed it.
I walked into the old hut once again.
'Back so soon?' she asked.
I just cut to the chase. No little conversations this time.
'What did you mean the other day what you told me about a spell?' I asked hesitantly.
'My dear child!' she exclaimed! 'Feisty, now are we?
'Please tell me. I must know.' I said politely but impatient.
'I can not just tell you out of thin air!' She said.
She turned to me and looked me from top to bottom.
'Of course, unless you are willing to pay the price?' she said sneakily.
'Anything! Name it!' I said excitedly.
'Very much like your father! Very well than, it will cost you 20 coins! No! make that 25!' she changed.
'What! But you said 20! I exclaimed.
'Do you want the information or not?' she pushed.
I huffed. 'All right. 25 coins.' I said.
I gave her 25 coins and she told me everything I needed to know. She told me everything from the flower to the exact spot it was in. I ran home as fast as a frightened horse. When I got home, everything was silent.
Me: Father? Mother? I shouted.
I ran through every room, every closet, every nook and cranny I could find! Nowhere to be found. Maybe they went out for a stroll, I told myself. I went back outside to look for Zayn. Where did he live? Was it far from here? Why had everyone disappeared? I did not know any of these but I was not about to give up.
I ventured back through the town to find my so-called ''True love'' as the old witch put it. I did not know where to look or even start. So I decided to ask a villager. I tapped on a young mans shoulder.
Me: Excuse me. Would you be so kind and tell me where prince Zayn is?
The young man never turned around.
Him: Why are you looking for him?
Me: I just need him. Please kind sir.
He finally turned around.
Him: Then I assure you he will be so happy to see you.
One look at him and I immediately knew who he was! It was Zayn!
Me: Oh Zayn! Where have you been?
Zayn: You shooed me off remember? he reminded me in a glum and gloomy voice.
Me: I am sorry. I did not know we were.... um.. together... if you know what I mean.
Zayn: Haha! And you have given me another reason to love you more!
He leaned in to kiss me but I stopped him in his tracks.
Me: Not right now, I said. I am new to this whole thing. The witch told me just an hour ago.
Zayn: What witch?
Me: Come on! Ill explain on the way!
He was obviously clueless. We ran and ran until we reached the forest just on the outskirts of my castle. We slowly went in as I traced the exact steps the witch had told me to. I trusted her word because she was our only option left. We finally got to a bend in the woods. And there, lying in the middle of an old, cut-down trunk, was the flower. The one we needed! Both Zayn and I stopped for a while to admire it's beauty. The flower was so beautiful. More beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It also looked so magical. It had long vines twisting and turning. There were lots of little green leaves with a stroke of white in the middle of every leaf. The flower itself was very pretty too. It had purple on the outside and a rosy pink on the inside and right in the middle, there was a little orange bud. The flower glistened with a magical glow. It almost felt like it was pulling Zayn and I into it. We were stunned.
We looked at each other and we knew at once that this was it.
