Alice

"Wake Up!

Alice! I said WAKE UP!"

"What!! Cant you see Im sleeping"!  She replied, tossing her pillow at Xan.

"You promised you'd go! Please GET UP!" Xan shouted

Its 3pm, and everyone in Mount. Faraday  was awake besides Alice.

"What were you doing all night!? You look like literal trash" Xan says with a grin

"FINE!!! But GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!!" Alice shouts blowing Xan out the door with her voice.

She get up, closes the door, and gets her outfit ready. A black shirt boys medium and skin tight black pants, her Red hair rests on her shoulders and her bright Blue eyes appear as gems amid her face. She grabs her phone, and her keys then slips her shoes on. She grabs her coat and grabs the Omni-plexus.

"You ready?" She asks Xan
"Yeah, you took forever" He replies and pulls out his OmniPlex, he still keeps the 3rd generation OmniPlex because theres way more tweaks and mods you can load up on it after jailbreaking the device.

"The time division cell says the next available bus is in 30 second"  he says rolling his eyes. The OmniPlex V3 still uses a M4  connection speed. So that means a 30 second wait time.
"Zugh, this wait time is killing me, we should have just used mine".

The Rift opens up revealing the science fair. They walk in and look around.

"So wheres yours little bro" Alice says to Xan
"My project?" He replies with a grin from ear to ear.
"Follow me" he says as he guides her to the back of the Gym

"There it is, what do you think?"

Xan has has made a scanner gun, the Proto-photoaccelerator.

"So what does it do" Alice asks with a puzzled expression.

Xan explains "Well it's a lot like a camera, but a camera can only copy and store the light data into a file that makes a 2D image. The Photoaccelerator on the other hand uses a wide spectrum sensor that captures the layers of a subject it is capturing, applies a mask to filter out the background and saves the object file on a cloud database."

Alice laughs "Don't just tell me, show me!"

Xan picks up the photoaccelerator, and pulls the trigger scanning the Red apple on his desk. The apple is saved as an object file and is viewable on the 3:4 display on the device.

"See how it's saved? Now watching this"

Xan places his hand out, selects print on the scanner and fires at his hand.

Within a second a second apple appears ontop of his palm.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD!?!?" Alice shouts. " Is it real!? Can you eat it??".

Xan laughs and takes a bite "mmmm fresh"

Alice is stunned "so this means you've developed a cloning gun? What if someone else gets ahold of it!?"

Xan replies "well it has a bio-metric security lock which basically means it scans my fingerprint or iris to confirm its me before it unlocks."

Alice bows her head "so I can't use it?"

Xan smiles, "well I already thought of that, just select your user profile and enroll using your finger print"

Alice places her thumb on the scanner, and her index on the trigger and points the aperture at Xan. "What happens if I scan you"

Xans face drops "STOP! We don't know what will Happen!!"

It's too late, her finger slipped, within a moment a Xan.obj file appears on the photoaccelorators display.

"What have you done!!" Xan cries out, "in theory you just copied me! There's nothing that would separate that object from the person I was when you shot it"

Alice is puzzled "how is that a bad thing?? You've made a device that can make you live forever".

Xan replies "that's not it, the experiences we experience and the memories we create are what makes us, us. He will have my memories up until the time you made the copy but everything I experience now will be unknown to him. If you ever print. He will be out of sync with the timeline and I don't know how that will effect him".

Alice replies "sure, but you'd stay alive"
Xan laughs "yes, but the me you're talking to right now is the real me, that's just a copy, I'm the real deal!".

Suddenly the lights shut off. The Gym goes black, screams shriek all around Xan and Alice.
One by one the screams begin to go silent.

All that can be seen is Red eyes sweeping through the room.

Xan quickly sticks a rift tag on Alices back and pushes the emergence Home rift button on the side of his OmniPlex.

The wait time is 10 seconds, the last scream fades less than 50 feet away

The Rift opens just as the Eyes appear in front of Xan.

Alice is phase shifted back into her home as she watches Xan strike the Red eyes with his RayBlade, leaving a blue gash across the attackers face. As the rift closes.

Alice falls to her knees and screams with tears pooring down her face.

And so begins our story.
