"The Mystery" (Chapter One)

[ What has happened to get to this point: Through out the season starting just after the Dominator episodes Barry began being later then usual and disappearing and not showing any romantic feelings toward Iris. Anytime these facts are brought up Barry quickly changes the subject. Iris was killed no matter what happened Iris' death was written any change would have catastrophic effects on the timeline up to this point.]

After Barry Allen finally defeated Savitar, it took months but finally he is gone, a portal into the Speed Force was ripped open and destroying the city that Barry loved. Knowing that a speedster will have to stabilize the Speed Force Prison, Barry decided it was time to repent for Flash Point.

Barry Allen knowing he may never see his friends again decided it was time to say goodbye. Everyone was even a heartfelt goodbye but in the end it was Cisco that got a special goodbye.

As Barry is saying goodbye to Cisco he gives him a hug and whispers "Keep it secret, keep it safe". As Barry and Cisco pull from the hug Cisco with a confused look on his face and Barry giving Cisco a quick wink Barry enters the Speed Force portal And with a flash of light Barry Allen just exited everyones life.

The group of Joe, Harry, H.R. Wally and Cisco slowly disperse one by one until it is only Wally and Cisco standing there. Wally turns to Cisco and says "Dude, What did Barry just give you." At hearing Wally's words Cisco snaps out of his thoughts.

Cisco confused by both Wally and Barry now "What did you just say?".

Wally repeats "Barry just slipped something in your pocket at super speed." Cisco reaching into his pocket pulls out a box it is black with no discernible details.

Cisco now goes to open a portal to S.T.A.R. to attempt to figure out what the hell Barry just gave him.

At S.T.A.R. labs Cisco puts the box in the middle of a table, on the other side of the table sat Wally with a similar inquisitive expression as Cisco. The box is rather small and looks very expensive. "Why don't we just open it?" Wally asks.

Cisco dumbfounded by the simplicity of what he just heard quickly agrees and opens the box, to find an engagement ring just sitting there.

"What the actual hell!" Wally exclaims "Did you know Barry was seeing anybody?" Cisco stunned into silence just shakes his head no. Not knowing what to do Wally asks "Have you tried to get any vibes off of it yet?"

"Yes, but all I'm getting is static, and a feeling that who ever this was for they were very important to Barry."
