Wham!

A huge gust of wind face planted itself against Allen’s pale face, as he opened the Oakwood door. He nearly stumbled backwards, until he caught himself. "Maybe today isn't a good day to bring Road along with me."  He thought.

"Allen~ can you please hurry up before the lines fill up and I don’t get a chance to try the ring toss." Hands on her hips, she walked out the door with her jacket and an annoyed look on her face.

"Too late now," Allen made his way over to the cracked sidewalk, in order to catch up with his cousin.

"Road will you slow down? There's no need to rush, we have plenty of time." pleaded Allen, trying to catch up with the pace.

"Well excuse me for not wanting to wait in those long ass lines. You know how they are." scoffed Road.

"The thing doesn't even open for another 35 minutes, so you can stop speed walking." Road froze as she was passing to the next street ahead. A car turned on its turning signals and was about to take a right turn. Road sped up just in time so the car wouldn't have hit her. "Look you almost just got ran over." frowned Allen.

"Well the moron didn't even look where he was going. It's not my fault." Road said while rolling her eyes.

"You know how Cross is when something valuable to him is broken." stated Allen.

"Valuable? Just because I carry around this watch he told me to use doesn't make me anymore valuable than I already was. The only thing Cross ever cares about is his valuables, money, alcohol, women, and more money." Road looked ahead "You of all people should know that."

"Yeah your right. Just make sure you give it to the right guy when we get there, okay?" asked Allen.

"Yeah yeah, I got it."

Allen and Road walked in sync to their destinations. Road almost got ran over again by her excessive speed. But honestly this time, the guy wasn't watching where he was going. He was speeding down the road with music blasted in the cars' speakers. You could literally see the truck shake and vibrate, as it continued down the road in the same amount of speed. As they walked on the other sidewalk this time, he stumbled upon their arrival. Road placed her small hands onto the black bars of the fence. She stared inside, daring to take the risk of excitement as she opened the gate.

When the gate opened their were already people shuffling around inside to get the place set up. A couple of people were carrying boxes full of games and prizes. While others were carrying supplies like cable cords and wood. The aroma in the air was hectic. The scent was a mixture of popcorn being popped from its kernel and cotton candy being spinned inside their re-solidifies.

Above the opening gate had a banner that said "Welcome to the 20th annual Black Order Carnival" with curls and strands of red around the edges. The basic color of the sign was snow white. The letter printing was a dark black and there were balloons around the sign that were tied around the fence. On the fence were twirls and strands of colors containing red, white, blue, green and gold. Leaning against the colorful fences were pumpkins since Halloween was near.

Allen looked around; the first thing that caught his eyes was the giant Ferris wheel. As it spun clockwise for a test run, he saw a person by the control panel. She had green high pigtails on each side of her head. They were tied together by two golden clasps. Her slim figure was covered with light blue skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. She has a jacket tied around her waist as she stood on her tip toes over the panels.

Allen walked over to the lady and tapped on her shoulder. "Uh, excuse me miss? Do you need any help?" asked Allen.

"Help? No thank you I've got it. It's just the engines acting up a little, that's all." She gave Allen a smile."My names Lenalee, nice to meet you." She shook his hand.
