The Dangerous

Chapter 1

I walk into school with my hood up and my face covered. As I walk through the hallways I suddenly get bumped into and smacked onto the floor. I look up annoyed but my eyes widen when I see who knocked me.

"Oh look, it's the loner! If you think you can just bump into me like that, you have another thing coming!" Wanda snarls and I get up and shake myself off. I open my mouth with anger.

Wanda is the 'queen bee' of my school. She likes to boss people about and thinks it's okay to control everyone.

I shut my mouth before I can say something that will really get me into trouble.

"Speak! Answer me! You think you can just push me over and not apologise?!" She screeches in anger.

I pull my hood down further as I feel my eyes begin to change colour.

Yes, I have powers. They aren't exactly a gift but I wouldn't call them a curse.

My power is manipulating and I can do a little bit of telekinesis but that's not my strong point. I can control someone or I can manipulate their minds and see their past or know everything about them.

I know that I'm not the only one in my school that has powers. I have read everyone's mind and I know which students have powers so fortunately for them, I cover for them.

They may not know that they have powers but I do. They are one of my own so I protect them from harms way.

An annoying screechy voice snaps me out of thought when I hear Wanda's best friend Delilah talk.

"Hey, I heard that the AL are coming by today to scan the students. Maybe the mute is one of the ones that has the curse." Delilah says and I growl under my breath.

"They weren't supposed to come today." I mumble and my eyes widen.

AL is the Alpha League. They find all children with powers and dispose of them.

They were supposed to be coming next week.

My eyes widen in panic and I rush out of the hallway to find the others.
"Hey I'm not done with you!"

If they find us here we are dead.

I run down the hallway and stop quickly as I see Ryder White at his locker.

Ryder White has the power to control the Earth but he doesn't know it. He's the schools bad boy.

I run up to him and pull at his arm. He looks up at me in surprise and confusion.
"Ryder I know that you don't know me but you can trust me and I'm saying right now we need to go." I whisper quietly.

"Okay I don't know what's up with you, we've never spoken before I think you have the wrong person." He says.

"Ryder just follow me." I command with my powers and my eyes turn yellow. I pull down my hoodie and run down the hallway with Ryder next to me.

"Why am I running, what did you do to me?!" Ryder says and I hiss.

I ignore him and look around for another power. I see a flash of brown hair and I run up to her.

Sasha Thompson has the power to control fire but she also doesn't know. She's best friends with Ryder so you could call her a rebel.

"Sasha I know you don't know who I am but you really need to follow me." I say urgently and she spins around to me.

Her eyes look at my hooded figure then at Ryder's panicked face and she sighs.
"Why do all girls have to pull Ryder for a quickie, can't you all see he's had enough today." She says and laughs at her own joke.

"Sasha I don't know who she is but somehow she's making me come with her." Ryder says confused and I growl lightly.

"Sasha do you want to live?" I say and she slowly nods.

"Then come with me!" I command with my power and I run as they follow me.

"Wait how the hell are you controlling me right now?!" Sasha shouts and I glare.

"Shut up."

I need three more people. Klaus, Rena and Cedric.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP"

I look up in fear.

That was the initiation warning.

"Can all 17 year old students come to get initiated in the gym now." The crackle comes out of the announcer.

"I'm too late." I lose my control over Sasha and Ryder and they both back away.

"Okay crazy lady what the hell is wrong with you?!" Sasha shouts and catches the attention of a nearby teacher.

"Sasha, Ryder, Lila what are you doing here?! The initiation is in the gym! Go now!" The teacher shouts and ushers us into the gym.

"No no no." I mumble and Ryder stares at me concerned.

"Don't touch me!" I say as he reaches out.

"Lila, Ryder and Sasha, IN LINE NOW!" The head teacher shouts and I stand in line with the others.

A loud bang echoes through the gym as the garage bit opens and an AL truck drives into the gym.

They stop and a bunch of AL soldiers get out of the truck.

I look down the line and spot Klaus, Rena and Cedric not to far from me.

The Head AL leader, Fraser Black, walks over and looks at us up and down.
"I see a few of you lot are looking worried well don't be. I only have a few people on my list to take and that will be all." He fumbles in his pocket and pulls out a piece of paper.

He won't have my name their. He's been looking for me for years so he won't know I'm here. But he will have their names.

"I will need Cedric Raines, Rena Lang, Klaus Emerald, Ryder White and Sasha Diamond. That will be all." He says and his men with guns approach each kid.

They go behind them and nudge guns up their backs. They move each kid to Fraser and he assess each face.

Sasha and Ryder look back at me in confusion as my eyes widen.
"No." I mumble and a teacher catches sight of me stepping out of line.

"Lila Black, back to the line!"

Fraser stops assessing and whizzing around.
"Lila Black? Did I just hear you say Lila Black?" Fraser says with sharp eyes and the teacher nods and points at me.

Fraser nods at a soldier and the soldier moves its way to me. The soldier flips off my hood and Fraser gasps.

"Lila Black, how long has it been since I last saw you, hmm?" Fraser cackles.

Sup people, this is my first proper book so don't go too harsh on criticism.

Do however correct me and help me improve and maybe you can contribute ideas for next chapters.

How was the first chapter? I know it was pretty bad but I was so excited to write I think my words got jumbled up.
