I decided to change the soulmate situation. In the au a soulmate can see their significant other once they turn 18 whether their said soulmate is 18 yet or not. Depending on the couple, or past family members, there can be certain types on transfers. Like ink, pain, or thoughts. The relationship between Tom and Tord is ink.

Tord is a high school drop-out because the school almost took him from his parents because brusies and cuts he would have when he appeared on school grounds. Tord at the beginning of chapter 1 was 16,now chapter 2-4 he is 17 going on 18.

Tom goes to the local university, his mother is Mrs Prume's daughter. Tom was at the funeral, saw Tord but didn't go up to him. Tom is 19 when he makes his first appearance in the story. Edd and Matt are his roommates, and friends.
