Destiny's POV
I went back to my house. Stacy left, and I'm all alone. I sit on the dining table in the small kitchen, as mom prepared dinner. I lowered my head and looked at the bracelet I was wearing. Stacy gave me this bracelet, she said it will remind us of each other if we had to leave. The initials of our names were written on the bracelet .
S and D
I sigh sadly.
Mom looks at me, and sits on the chair beside me. "What happened? Is Stacy alright?"
"No, she moved to the city, her mother is so sick, her dad lost his job" I answered, wiping the tears with my sleeve.
"Oh, I'm so sorry for you, sweetie"
I smile back... not wanting to talk
I stood up and walk upstairs to my room. "Dinner is gonna be ready in seconds" mom said
"I'm not hungry" I replied. I slammed the door and lay on my bed. I looked at Alan's bed, he used to snore while sleeping. Alan was 10 years old, he was my little angel. I looked at the drawing he used to hang on the wall.
That's you, Deedy
I can hear his voice. He used to call me Deedy. I can see him pointing at the drawing and asking me if it was good or not. Despite his age, he was really a good artist. He drew things in a way no body imagines. He always dreamed of a big house. He always told me that in the future, everyone is gonna live a happy life. Alan was a great boy, I miss him.
On his bed, was his favorite teddy bear. He never slept a night if that bear wasn't beside him. He told me he feels safe with him.
Where's teddyyyy!!!!
I heard his crying. I wonder what is he doing in heaven now? I guess he forgot about teddy, he's living a happier life up there.
Someone knocked on the door.
I hugged the teddy bear, "I miss you, brother" I cried.
I fell asleep at that night, hoping that Alan would visit me in my dreams. And remembering his cute voice saying Goodnight, Deedy, sweet dreams!
