It's finally time to go. I had to stay for the evening shift, thanks to Bella! I hope she realizes how much I had to do, so many rude customers! I'm just glad my shift is FINALLY over. My god, it was such a long day. "Okay Matt I'm going home. " I got my purse and jacket from the rack. "Alright Kat, stay safe out there! Don't forget about that killer on the loose. " I rolled my eyes. "What killer? " Matt's eyes widened. "The Brooklyn Killer! He's been going around killing anyone walking around after midnight! There's been 5 murders this week! Including a college student! " I almost laughed. A killer? In Park Slope? No way. "You got to be kidding me. There is no such thing as a " Brooklyn Killer". Besides, I found a shortcut to my apartment. It's not far away. " Matt eyes lowered, as he slightly sighed. "You sure I can't get you an Uber or something? " I giggled. "Yuck! Who honestly uses Uber anyways? Anyhow, see you later, Matt. And " watch out" for the Brooklyn Killer! " I left the store.
