"Get out!"
I flinched at the sound of my boss yelling at me.
"Get out now before I have to use force," he said aggressively, inching towards me. I backed up with tears in my eyes and headed to the back towards the exit. I was too ashamed to walk through the front and have all the customers stare at me.
I worked at a diner for about 3 years now because I was trying to pay off my debts from college. I was 25 years old and trying to get back on my feet. This job did pay well and I had a fairly nice house with 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, 2 baths, a living room, and a front room. It had two floors and a finished basement along with a horrible attic. I swear that upstairs is haunted; I never go up there.
Sadly, I could be losing everything I once had because of losing this job.
I sat at my kitchen table and stared at the wall with my favorite drink in hand. I was so stressed at this point and wondering what I was going to do with my life now. Where would I work? What if I lose my house?
I was trying to figure out plans for my life when I finally decided to pick up a newspaper. I searched through the ads mainly seeing things for grocery stores and hairdressing places. Sounds good, but I can't do that. The pay wasn't good enough to keep this house. I kept searching for about ten more minutes when I finally found a job called Fazbear Fright's Horror Attraction.
That might be cool, I thought to myself. What's the pay...? Oh my goodness! I looked at the post where it read $12 an hour! I immediately called the number that was written on the ad.
"Hello?" a person answered on the receiving end.
"Hi, my name is Y/N L/N and I saw your ad in the paper and was wondering how to apply?" I said nervously into the phone.
"Oh yes my name is Albert Smith and you need to send in your resume to the email address on the paper and then I will call you to let you know if you get an interview or not."
"Thank you! I'll do so immediately!" I replied cheerfully. "Have a good night."
"You too," I hear Albert say right before the phone call ended. I put my phone down relieved that part was over. Now all I have to do is send in my resume.
I pulled up my laptop and wrote the email address down copying my resume in a PDF and sending it relaxing in my seat. I decided I should wait till the morning to check again and see if I got an answer from Albert.
~~~~~~~~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~~~~~
I awoke in a rush to check my computer to see if there was a response. I saw one notification on my email and quickly opened it scanning over the words.
"Your resume seems very thorough and we would love to have you work at the attraction. I set a date for our interview. Tonight at 6pm. If this time does not work please respond as soon as you can."
I jumped up and down knowing that I didn't get the job yet but I was so close. I wrote back hastily, "Yes, that time works for me. Thank you, see you then!" I sent the email and shut off my laptop looking at the time. 11:30am. I got some time to kill before I get ready.
~~~~~~~~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~~~~~
I put on a nice outfit which was a black pencil skirt and a nice white dress shirt. I wanted to give off a good impression. I did my makeup [or not depends on how you like your face], my hair, and headed out doing quick looks in the mirror making sure I looked presentable.
I drove to the building which was a good 20 minute drive away and once I reached it I realized maybe I overdressed for a place that looks like... this. I entered the building looking for a desk of some sort, but not finding one. I stood there confused thinking about a place to look. I began to walk down a dark hallway with flashing lights and a dirty floor with a chicken mask on the floor. I recognized it as Chica the Chicken! I went to this place a few times when I was a child.
I kept walking down the hallway and saw a room that seemed to be lit up with a large window in front of it. I could see someone through the window.
"Hello?" I called out.
"Oh, hi! You must be Y/N," a man said.
"Um, yes. You're... Albert?" I questioned as the man stepped out of the room and came over to me.
"Yep, that's me. Ready to start your interview?" He asked. I nodded while following him to a different room with an actual desk and two chairs. He sat in one and I sat across from him.
"So...why do you want this job?" He began.
"I need the money after getting fired from my old job for reasons unknown. This job peaked my interest and seemed like a good fit for me because I like the night time and spooky things!" I explained, hopeful that was a good answer.
Albert wrote something down on his paper and asked other boring questions and me answering them praying that they were good enough to get the job.
"Okay well I think this interview went well," he said standing up and putting his hand out for me to shake. I stood up as well and shook his hand. "You get the job!"
"Oh my, thank you!" I said excitedly.
"I have one thing to tell you about though," he said suddenly and seriously. "There's this...one animatronic who likes to move around at night. His name is Springtrap and you're gonna have to try and keep him out of your office, but don't worry he shouldn't be too bad!"
I stared at him confused but decided I should trust him and what he was saying.
"Okay...well when do I begin?" I asked trying to get off that odd subject although I was curious about 'Springtrap.'
"Tomorrow night at midnight precisely. You actually might want to get there earlier because that's when Springtrap begins to move. Your shift begins at 12 though. You're gonna have to open up and lock up in the night and morning because we will have the doors locked, so here. Also we'll have a uniform for you but only a shirt, the pants you can where whatever you like. Most just choose black pants so leggings would be fine, and any shoes would be fine too. You won't be standing so don't worry too much about sneakers." He handed me a key. I took it and put it in my purse before thanking him once more and heading out.
I guess I'll just wait for tomorrow night, I thought while walking out. And see try to see what this Springtrap is.A/N: Sorry that this is kinda long and boring, but I wanted to give a backstory a bit as to why you have the job rather than just giving it to you suddenly. I'll try my best to create another chapter soon!
