(Starting from right after the end of the epilogue in The Warden and the Wolf King.)
"Open your eyes Sara!"
I shook my head no.
"Please?"
I knew Leeli would never give it up, so with a reluctant sigh I opened them a crack. The world was flying by in a blur. While it made me dizzy, I couldn't help but marvel at the magnificence of the Dark Sea, the Hollows in the distance, and the beautiful dragon below me. In front of me on her dragon, Leeli let out a joyous cry. A smile started to form on my face and I pushed my wind-blown brown hair out of my eyes as let out a whoop of excitement. The others seemed to be enjoying their rides as well. I saw Kalmar was laughing merrily and Nia seemed to be clinging to Artham as if to a lifeline. Oskar has his eyes squished shut, his fat body as low as he could get it on his ride.
Then my smile faded.
I looked over at the side of Oskar's dragon. There, wrapped in cloths and strapped securely in, was Janner's body. He would have loved this. No, I told myself. He will love this. We were going to save him."We're here!" Artham's cry rang out loud and true.
{I hope you enjoyed part one!! More is on the way!!}
