Darkness gazed at Nightshade, who was sleeping silently, the small gap in the roof of the cave let through moonbeam, and the moonlight made the nightfury's scales sparkle like the stars in the night sky. He shuffled closer to his mate, her warmth spread all over his body, making him comfortable and cozy. He didn't remember the last time he slept beside another dragon. He was formerly the king of evil dragons, and once got poisoned with something that made him go mad, and he ended up killing his once-mate, Sapphire, a light blue nightfury with purple eyes, but he never truly loved her. He escaped the group of evil dragons, but he still has his alpha mode, and the power to command some weaker evil dragons. He already told this to Nightshade, but that didn't change their relationship. He nuzzled Nightshade, feeling emotions stronger than he has ever felt. He draped his wing over her, making sure she's warm, he heard her purr in her sleep as he did, and at the soothing sound of her gentle purr, Darkness drifted off into a deep sleep, the moon softly shining on the two lovers.
