Summertime is the most awaited season in Grantwood.

You can feel the fun and freedom floating around in the air. Some of Grantwood's residents either travel to other places or stay like what Kate Collins has chosen.

It's been a while since she spent her summer in her hometown. She was bit by the wanderlust bug so she always had that want to discover and explore new places.

Maybe her hometown was a place she needed to get to know more.

"Hey Amy! You don't mind if I borrow your laptop?" Kate shouts from her comfortable spot on the couch.

"Sure go ahead. I'll bring home some take out for dinner. See you later." Amy rushes out the door and now Kate has the house all to herself.

'Finally!' she thought excitedly.

Her parents were on a spotaneous couple's retreat for the weekend and Kate was glad to have the house to herself. Kate's parents are described as the cool and calm parents but they do have their protective tendencies.

She didn't mind that her parents put her cousin Amy on babysitting duty. Kate and Amy had a sister like bond. They supported each other and had each other's backs no matter what. A few strangers thought that they were actually sisters.

'Amy is doing pretty well. Good for her.' she thought to herself as she adjusted herself on the couch.

Breakups have never stopped Amy Collins. Sure, the heartbreak and sadness still lingers but she was moving on one step at a time.

"What's this?" Kate says as she checks out the website in front of her. She was thinking of leaving it out alone but Amy said she was fine in letting her borrow the laptop. Kate threw that thought out the window.

'Polaroid Avenue? Hmm, sounds good" The website turns out to be a blog. Unless it was of interest to her, then this would just be a quick check.

Post # 1: My Digital Time Capsule

Welcome to Polaroid Avenue my fellow bloggers and random readers!

I felt a little creative so I decided to make a blog. Random, right? Let me first start off with an apology. It's not everyday a blogger's first post starts with an apology but here it goes.

There is no plan for me to reveal who I actually am. What's life without a little mystery? So I'm doing the same thing to this blog. I know what you're thinking. A blog is meant for sharing!

I agree with you strongly my dear reader. Don't fret, I will share to you my summer vacation. All the experiences, events and all that jazz. I just don't want to reveal who I am and who I"m with. Let's just keep it that way.

Anyways, if you're wondering what's going on with my blog title then keep on reading. A friend of mine gave me a polaroid camera to document my entire vacation. She knew I wanted one and she got the perfect chance to give one to me. With that, I thought of a random word and Polaroid Avenue was created.

I hope you do tag along because I feel that this summer is going to be great.

XO

Being the curious cat that she is, she scrolls done the blog and reads a few more posts. Travelling was something she liked as well. This blog would give her something to look forward to during the summer.

'The polaroids are beautiful' Kate thought as she continued to scroll down.

"Wait a minute" something catches her eye and grabs her phone from the table.

"What's up? her friend Anya greeted. "I've got something to show you." the smile clear in her voice.

"You're lucky I'm not busy today!" Anya cheerfully says.

"Yeah yeah, I'm really lucky that you're free." Kate chuckles.

"It sounds like an interesting kind of something." Anya says as she heads to her car. The blog post in front of Kate was odd and suprising, a weird combination of reactions. "Trust me Anya, it really is. Just get here quick."

"Alright, I'll see you in a few" she ends the call and turns on the engine of her car.

Kate tosses her phone to the bed and happily waits for her friend.

Playing detective would make her summer more productive and fun. Kate's instincts were usually right. When she saw the picture, her gut was telling her that this blogger was more than a stranger.

"A little mystery would be fun indeed"

Author's Note: So that's just a little sneak peek of what's in store :) I hope you enjoyed reading it and do check out the first chapter which will be out soon!
