Park Sooyoung was every man's desire, every woman's best friend, and South Korea's sweetheart. At the age of three she had been discovered to be a genius. The Park's had been clueless before, chalking her extreme lack of connection with other children to it just being a phase she'd grow out of, but after it'd been confirmed the signs became painfully obvious. And at the age of fourteen, she had developed a social media app that had quickly climbed above giant names like Snapchat and Instagram- but that wasn't all. In her spare time, she took roles in films and gave large portions of all her earnings to charities across the globe.

The perfect woman... right? To the people, that was the exact description they'd give if you happened to ask, but to members of The Velvet- she was their best hacker. If you gave Sooyoung a coffee and a laptop, she could probably hack into NASA in a matter of moments. However, she also played a much bigger role.

She was the second in command: the Peacemaker. Park Sooyoung was the glue that held the team of four together and built their relations with other gangs, the biggest ones being Orbits and Twice (just to name a few).

Sooyoung was a realist, someone that would tell it how it was without wasting any time, and that was a quality people appreciated greatly in both The Velvet and her company (Soonshine). Her employees knew what to expect of her (and vice versa), which was why it surprised Sooyoung greatly when Bom- one of the more experienced members of her company- came up with such a strange request.

"Ms Park?" (Sooyoung had told Bom numerous times to call her by her name, but the elder woman had insisted on being incredibly formal), "Would it be okay if I took out a couple paychecks in advance?"

The younger woman perked her head up from her paperwork -possibly the only boring part of her job- and craned her neck curiously, "How many paychecks are we talking?" She looked back to her computer and pulled the salary documents up, quickly finding Bom's name as she was one of the highest paid members of Soonshine (perks of being the CEO's assistant).

"Five months' worth."

"Jesus, Bom, that's over forty million Won. Are you in some sort of trouble?" Nevertheless Sooyoung prepared the check with a quick scribble of her signature and the amount, yet she held off on giving it to her assistant for a moment, the unanswered question hanging heavily in the air.

Bom just looked to her feet, giving her boss a bashful luck that didn't quite suit her sharp, dominating facial features, "I won't be anymore if I get this money. So please, Sooyoung, don't ask anymore questions; you wouldn't understand, anyway."

I think I'd understand more than you could ever imagine.

"Fine." She handed the check to Bom, who eagerly grasped it in return, "Take the rest of the week off so you can sort out... whatever it is that you have going on." Sooyoung watched as Bom bowed gratefully and rushed out the room, a sigh escaping her when the assistant finally left.
