IN The Heart of Daegu, Rain pouring down, hitting my skin causing goosebumps to rise, face was flushed and eyes were brimming with tears as I walked down the rainy street, hearing the taps of the heals of my boots against the moistened pavement. Damp hair sticking to my skin, the rolls of thunder hit as well and I remember so vividly. As I was ready to pass by the local bakery I usually went to, the door opened almost immediately.

" Miss!"  I turned to the sound of the deep voice, my heart pounding- I was surprised, beyond. I blinked away my tears as I stared up at the source of the voice. His bronze skin, Glistening against the lights of the bakery, mocha eyes filled with an unknown emotion to me at the time,

For some reason, I couldn't speak- couldn't respond. the feeling of being completely lost and pure heartache filled within, I broke. I truly broke. I had never felt so weak in my entire life, not once did I ever show my weaker emotions in front of others nonetheless a stranger. Yet it happened, A raw cry escaped from my lips a raw guttural sob came along with it. The tears that once brimmed my eyes fell- oh how they fell.  Then, just then in the midst of my tears I felt the feeling of weight on me, I looked up with teary eyes and was met with  the eyes of the stranger, he had wrapped me up in a fuzzy white towel.

" Miss, please get out from the rain and come inside." The stranger spoke, his voice gentle, he stared with sad eyes.  Maybe he pitied me but the thought of someone taking pity on me made me feel angry, the last thing I wanted was pity. Yet, In the state I was in. I followed him into the bakery.

Little did I know that I had met the man who would teach me what love is.
