Chapter 1

Best Boy Koa's POV

I waved my friends goodbye as I left school to walk home. The day wasn't really different from any other day because of the basic routine which consisted of:

a) Going to school
b) Doing useless work
c) Eating
d) Doing more useless work
e) Going home
f) Sleeping
g) And Repeat.

I had homework but frankly I wasn't interested in rushing home to finish it. I live by myself so not really anyone to scowl me if I arrive later then I'm supposed to. I have parents it's just that, it's better for me if I live home alone. Plus, they send me money every week so I manage.

I arrived to my doorstep and intimately my phone started buzzing with notifications. I rolled my eyes, 'Thats probably Eiko' I thought. Eiko is my half-sister on my mother's side. I quickly opened my front door as more notifications kept coming in. As I stepped inside my house, I saw an envelope on the floor. The envelope was a clean white colour and was sealed with one of those fancy red wax seals, indicating that it may have been extremely important. I picked up the envelope and proceeded to lock my door. I placed my phone down on the coffee table; putting it on silent. I sat on the couch, placing my backpack beside me. I didn't read who the mail could've been from and I opened it carefully not wanting to mess up the envelope someone had put together ever so nicely.

As I opened the envelope, I pulled out a letter. The handwriting was neat and was a pleasure to look at. I started to read the letter...

Dear, Koa Shinguji

You have been examined for a while now.

When I read that it lowkey sounded creepy as hell, how the fuck did they even know my full name? I continued to read

Don't be alarmed because this letter has nothing to do with anything illegal.

That doesn't ressure me, that makes matters worse. I decided to stop thinking about it and finish reading.

This letter was given to you because of your efforts and focus on your daily pass time, communicating with spirits, you have been offered the opportunity to join the luxurious School Of Ultimates Hope's Peak Academy, as the Ultimate Spiritual Medium.

My heart literally skipped a beat at that. I couldn't believe that one of the best schools, heck even possibly the top best school in Japan has noticed me and offered me a spot in their school! I was totally switching schools. 'What about my friends at my current school' I thought. Meh, they were annoying anyways, I'll finally get to bond with some of the most famous people around the world. I mean, not like I wasnt famous, given that I literally could communicate with ghost but I knew this was going to be the happy start of a new beginning. I realized that I haven't finished the letter so before I did anything else I resumed reading it.

If you do accept our proposal to join Hope's Peak, there will be a package that will contain your school uniform.  Everything else you may need while you attend our school will be provided at the school so no worries. Also, don't worry about telling your old school about you transitioning to ours. The paperwork has been done if you decide to join Hope's Peak. Hopefully we see you tomorrow.

I literally can not contain my excitement! I shot my arm up and punched the air. I get to go to Hope's Peak tomorrow! I then instantly remembered that Eiko was blowing up my phone. I picked up my phone and on the lockscreen it had 600 god damm messages. That's normal Eiko for you. I entered my password 'Ilovefeet69' and checked all the messages from the beginning.
