Running.

You were running as fast as your feet could carry you. What is going on? Your friends have successfully kept you in the dark about they're entire secret life.

'Demogorgons'? 'Magical powers'? something called the 'upside down'?

And the worst part is Steve freaking Harrington had to be the one to tell you about it. Well, Steve isn't so bad anymore. But it just wasn't fair that everyone knew about this but you.

Does everyone around you keep secrets now?

It really felt like it. Well, everyone but your girlfriend, Robin.

Robin.

You turned to look at her as you ran through the mall. God she was amazing. Even though we were practically about to die, running from something that you couldn't even have thought up in your darkest nightmares, she managed to make eye contact with you, and smile.

It wasn't a full smile, it was a signature robin smirk.

But still, no one else would even be dreaming of smiling right now. But you figured Robin was enjoying this just a little bit. I mean, she had mentioned to you how boring her life was at times.

Shit.

"Shit!"

Everyone froze. They turned around to see you in the floor, struggling to stand up.

'This is it.' You thought, 'I'm going to die, all because I'm a klutz and tripped over my own ankles.'

You turned around when the screaming of your friends grew louder.

"Y/N!" Robin was trying to help you get you off the ground, which was proving difficult considering there was a huge monster ten feet away.

Your friends screamed louder as the monster ran closer, they ran towards you as fast as they could, yelling your name as if them saying, 'y/n!' Would magically save you.

Suddenly you felt it. You felt it latch onto your leg.

"Robin!" You cried out, trying to pry the monster away from your limb.

Everyone pulled, they pulled on you. El stayed behind and used her powers on the monster.

And finally it let go.

Not without leaving an extra twinge of pain as it's teeth dragged down the front of your shin.

Everyone watched in awe as the monster seemed to be going on it's merry way for a few seconds, before turning their attention back to you when you groaned.

Luckily, your bite wasn't that deep, but it still hurt like hell.

Robin turned to you immediately, assessing your current state before crouching down next to you.

You looked around at everyone, Jonathan was looking over your leg, El wiped her nose off, still watching you, concerned. Steve was rubbing his face in his hands in between glances with Robin, and everyone else really just looked either generally concerned, grossed out, or both.

You panted, trying not to cry. You never cried.

Robin seemed to have picked up on this, she was the only one who had seen you cry before, and she also felt the same way about it.

Jonathan came back from somewhere, you hadn't even noticed him leave. He was holding bandages. He knelt down and started wrapping your leg up.

"Fuck!" That hurt.

Robin grabbed your hand, scooting closer to you. Everyone seemed to be calmer now that they knew everything was okay. At least for the time being.

"Hey... You know, it's not actually that bad." She spoke to the group, before looking directly to you, "Remember the goalie on the soccer team? Beth Willdfire?"

You nodded.

"This other girl slid into her leg, and the bone came out of her knee. Six inches or something. It was insane!"

Everyone looked at her in shock. Only Robin. Only Robin.

"Babe." You hissed in pain.

"Yeah?"

"Not helping."

Robin pierced her lips.

It hurt more than anything you'd ever felt before, but he did it. Jonathan managed to bandage you up. Thank god you were left with nothing more than a few deep cuts.

....

You now sat with Robin on the counter in the middle of the mall. Everyone stood around, discussing what had been going on for the past few days.

You looked at Robin, and what did she do?

She smirked, just like Robin does.

You shook your head, smiling to yourself.

"What?" She asked, turning her head sideways, still smirking playfully.

"I love you."

Robin was a bit dumbfounded, but grinned none the less.

"I- I love you too."

No moment in your life had ever even come close to being as perfect as this one was. Nothing. ever.

You Robin leaned towards you and you leaned forward as well.

This wasn't your first kiss with Robin, but it felt different this time.

It felt.. Better.

You didn't notice at the time, but everyone had been watching you, most of them with their mouths wide open.

You grinned,

"That helped."

"Hey! If you Dingusis don't close your mouths any time soon, you're gonna catch flies."
