Our World is so mysterious and wonderful. That's what I thought too, but then I started wondering, Is there anything more?
9:17 P.M.
The flashing of red and blue lights, filling the streets. Sounds of a wailing mother cloud the minds of those near by. A distressed father driving behind the ambulance driving to the Emergency Room.
My eyes opened to white light, but I'm getting a head of myself. My name is David Johnson, like David and Goliath, age 15. Today I died, and my life was changed forever, but I can't remember anything. I can't recall the last three days. What happened? My eyes opened to white light, I was surrounded with family, and friends, my head hurt so much the pain was unbearable.
"How are you doing?" My mom asked me, My mom has red hair it's dyed goes up yo her shoulders, and is constantly smiling except for today, "Fine, I guess" I responded "What happened?" There was almost complete silence, my family, and friends were in awe, and the only sounds that were heard were that of the other patients, and monitors.
My cousin Samuel broke the silence, "You don't know?" Samuel is only 12, He has blond hair, brown eyes, won't seem to shut up, and is staying with us until his parents come back from their missionary work in Africa. "No, what?" I replied with a question.
"You died..." My father said in the back of my room.
"What?" I asked in shock.
"For an entire hour." My father replied, My father is the only person in my family that I am not taller than, he has black wavy hair, and decent facial features. "Don't you remember anything?"
"No, the last thing I remember was..." I paused to think, "I was at Jonathan's."
My family looked around almost in unison. My mom spoke, "Honey, that was on Saturday."
Samuel interrupted, "Today, is Wednesday!" The doctor came in, "And how is our patient?"
"Doc, he doesn't remember anything after Saturday." My dad said.
"I'm sure its nothing to worry about, a couple more days and I'm sure it will all come back to him." The Doctor replied. "We'll keep him over night for some test." And that is just what they did.
9:00 A.M.
I returned home the next day, and school all the same. I was given more lenient time considering I could not remember the Homework assigned two days before. Everything seemed fine, but one question arose that no one could answer, "What was I doing the day I died." Some of my friends have theories. "Maybe you were drugged, and knocked out, and thrown to the ground beside your house." My friend Alex insisted, He has dirty-blond hair is super skinny, and is obsessed with Dramatic movies, "Perhaps you were abducted, and the aliens tests were too intense for you to survive." Said my friend Jonathan, he is quirky, very smart, he had dark brown hair, and almost every word that comes out of his mouth is about aliens. "Or maybe you just fell off your roof..." Jamie, the only girl in our group, natural red hair long, almost to her posterior, suggested.
4:00 P.M.
Overall things were normal, no test showed anything wrong with me, but I have an empty feeling not knowing what happened in that time. This was the last day of school. My family had been planning a camping trip as soon as school let out. The plan is two weeks in Ruidoso, New Mexico. I came home to my parents arguing. I didn't walk in to the house, I listened in through the kitchen window. The kitchen was where they were talking.
"What are we going to do?" My mom said Stressed out.
"I don't know Barbra, He was punished." My dad said concernedly.
"Michael, He doesn't even remember..." My mom said trying to convince my dad.
"If we say yes right after we said no, that might make him think it doesn't matter what we say." My dad said sternly.
"How about we just go, He was in the hospital, we need some family time." My dad seemed to relax after my mom had said that. I ran to the door and walked in saying, "I'm home!" Like I usually do.
"Hi, Honey," My mom said.
"We were just talking about the trip." My dad said.
"Yeah, this is going to be so much fun, I can't wait, you guys are the best." I said in a rush and ran upstairs. I threw my back pack in my room and went back to listen in.
"So are we going... He was crushed the last time we said no." My mom said quietly.
"I guess, but this is the last time." My dad whispered in agreement. Before they finished talking I ran to my room, waiting.
5:42 P.M.
My mom was making spaghetti, while I was in my room I was thinking about what they were talking about, what could I have done? Was it a bad thing that I had forgotten about what ever it was? "David, come and eat!" My mother yelled from the kitchen, I sat in my usual spot, in front of my mom and next to my dad. We began to eat. Things were very quiet. A thought came to my head and I spoke with out holding back, "how did I die?" My mom looked at my dad, but my dad didn't take his eyes off me.
"Well, you died in the hospital..." My dad said.
"Okay, what caused me to...?" I asked with great curiosity.
"I don't know, I was at work when your mother called me." My dad said in his defense.
"Mom?" I asked in hope she would know.
"I'm sorry honey... I was out, you said you were alright being left at home alone." My mom said with a guilty face.
"It's okay," I said so that she wouldn't feel bad. "Did the doctors have an explanation?"
"No Honey, they were baffled, that's why they let you go so soon, they saw nothing wrong with you." My mom explained to me.
9:00 P.M.
I was getting ready to go to bed, or at least to my room to watch Television. My mom had gone to the restroom to take a bath, he usually does this for an hour or so. It's funny when she starts singing, not that she has a bad voice, she gets all into the song. When I stand next to the door of the bathroom I feel like I'm at some sort of music festival. I turned on the television, I have a Spongebob episode collection. My T.V. is broken so I could only see 3 colors, red, green, and blue. Spongebob is red or green and sometimes half and half. Most of everything else is blue or a bluish color. Patrick is blue or red. After about 2 episodes of Spongebob, my mom got out of the bath, and I went in to brush my teeth.
9:58 P.M.
I opened the mirror to get to the toothpaste, and my toothbrush. The bathroom is dark, but light up with candles, I blew out the candles on the sink, and switch on the light. When I turned on the light I looked into the mirror, I was the whole color spectrum flash in the mirror in what felt like a blink of an eye. I then saw an outline of light surround me, but just as quickly as it had started it had ended.
5:00 A.M.
I woke up. I was dreaming. I must have been so excited for the trip today my mind had made something up. My friend Alex and his family are going on the trip with us. The drive from Huston, Texas to New Mexico was a long journey, being in that car with Sam for hours drove me crazy. Everything we passed was the most important thing to Sam, so important he lectured on it, sang about, and ask hundreds of questions on it. We stopped several times, but It wasn't until we reached El Paso, that he finally shut his mouth. My mom had bought him some drawing paper, and that's what he did for a little while anyway. We stayed in El Paso for the night, Alex had some family we could stay with.
11: 28 P.M.
We drove up to the drive way of the house. The house was very large, it had 3 full grown trees in the front yard, and it was a three story house. Alex and his family dove up first. My parents, Sam and I got out of the car with blankets pillows and and our toothbrushes. The place was full of cameras. I was tiered but I didn't care I just went in and had fun.
