Who is hurting the most? The one who left or the one who was left behind?

I've been staring at the purple post it pasted on the free wall. This is the place where students from different Departments have their chance to write what they feel, or much easier write something on a post it and paste it without much notice from others. Truth be said, I thought about it many times. Not because of what I feel, but based on my friends and classmates experiences. If I will to evaluate and answer to this question I might say its always the one who is being left out that is more hurting.

"It depends."

I am surprise by a sudden voice beside me. I might be that into my conclusions that I haven't notice this tall guy's arrival. I double check if he is talking to me and saw that there is no one around near us. Or is he talking to himself?

"Im not that insane to talk to myself. Yes, Im talking to you."

He looks at me for awhile before returning his gaze at the purple post it.

"Oops. Sorry, it's just that I don't know you."

But instead of answering what I've said he throws me a question instead.

"Have you ever wonder the same thing?"

This guy is really something, talking to a random guy out of nowhere might be his thing. I nodded.

"Yep. But for the others sake."

"Lucky you, you haven't felt what those who are left behind feels."

He crossed arms, he is ready to talk, is he?

"Not that I don't experience of being left out. People come and people go but what matters most is who'll keep the pace on."

I caught his attention because I saw in my peripheral view how he slightly turns to my direction.

"People tend to leave because they want to. That's the main reason, regardless of they tried to explain or what it'll comes to this. They left because they wanted to. Period. Those who are left behind shouldn't pay much attention to them because they aren't worth it. "

I left him there after saying that. I don't care if he has something to say or what but I need to go to the Lab for my observation class. I am currently in my 4th year in BS Biochemistry, it is indeed tiring and somehow stressful but I can say I can still do it. My mom wants me to be a Doctor but I am not decided yet if I'll pursue to go to Med school or not. Which always earns me some good scolding from my mom.

I waited for Pavel and Dome to come so I can observe with them. I am still thinking of the guy from a while ago until our class started.

We finished our morning classes and we decided to eat our lunch first before going to Pavel's house in the afternoon after passing our reports. There are atleast 3 cafeteria in the University because of thousands students but we agreed to eat at Cabalen's. While we are waiting for our order Pavel suddenly shove his phone to me.

"What's the meaning of this?!"

He showed his phone to me too close so I can't read a thing. "I can't see Pavel! Its too close!"

He pulled his phone a little and I read what is in the phone. It is a picture of a blue unique post it, it's not gonna be a big deal to me if my name is not written there!

"Who is this? Why does he knew your exact name? Huh?"

Pavel looks at me suspiciously, I tried to ask some help from Dome through throwing him a look but he just shrugged and cross his arms. Seriously he looks like a mother watching his son being roasted by his husband right now!

" I don't know okay? It might not be me!"

"Uh-huh? After he writes your full name?"

"Your year and Department?!" Dome added fuel to the fire.

"I am wondering too..."

They think together with me. I am not that famous outside our Department so would that be?

"Is this the girl from Business Ad? She tries to flirt with you yesterday."

Pavel said. "Nope I don't think so, I didn't bother talk to her the whole time."

"Or Shane of Psychology? She has a thing to you for years already." Dome said teasingly.

"DON'T you dare say her name again! She spread rumors about me being gay! So the boys also tried to flirt with me last semester I can't handle them enough!"

The both of them laugh at me.

"But seriously why didn't you explain about it? That's why some misunderstood you for that."

I shrugged my shoulders.

"I just thought that, your sexuality doesn't need society's approval. Let them think what they think. I don't care."

Pavel and Dome look at each other.

"So are you open in the possibilty of having a... Boyfriend?"

I look at them plainly.

"I am open to every possibility. Even having one if it comes to me. If I like the person it would be regardless if its a she or a he. As long as I want to be with that person."

I was taken aback when they gave each other a hi-five.

"What's that for?"

They smiled at me before chorusly saying, "Nothing!"

Our food came after awhile and we ditch the topic. We are fixing our things to go back to the University when Pavel handed me something. When I check it, it was my Library card.

"Why do you have my card?"

"Chen gave it to us yesterday."

"Ah. Okay. So who is Chen?"

They stop walking and looks at me in unison they are looking at me as if asking if I'm real.

"Why?"

"You don't know Chen of Med?"

I nodded. "I might understand you not knowing some of our juniors. But not for not knowing Chen of Med!" Dome said dramatically.

"So who is he?"

"He is one of the 15 students of Med that is under the fast track he is currently in his 5th year at 19 years old. If you heard the word cut throat, he went under everything and every kinds of sabotage the people who wants to cut him from the program didn't even satisfied their wishful thinking. The guy was called Untouchable because no one can pull him down. Now he earns much respects from his seniors and juniors. He's the only one who went in the program straight at High School too, so I can't believe a Science related course student like you doesn't know him!"

Wow. I have heard the fast track program, its a program where in you can be a Doctor at the shortest time ---7 years or lower depends if youre going to take up heavy loads and units. I tried to apply but failed in one thing, I am undecided of my specification. I want to be a Doctor that time, but doesn't know which Doctor it will be.

"He is good then."

Dome and Pavel shakes their head at me.

"He is the best!"

They even show me a thumbs up sign. Ah. Fanboys!
