"Pregnant?' I finally managed to choke out.
She nodded, her face twisted because of her crying.
I slowly slid down the wall beside her, and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. She leant her head on my shoulder, and cried into my bare skin. I kissed the top of her head.
I murmured, "It's okay. I'll be here."
I squeezed her hand. "Promise."
Her crying lessened, and I felt her body loosen up as she fell asleep.
