It was a Sunday morning in the dorms. We were all in the common room discussing the upcoming topic tomorrow. We got warning from Aizawa on Friday that the topic on Monday might be uncomfortable to some people. He said one word of the new topic:

Hanahaki

"We know what Hanahaki is and all, but... Do you think people have actually died from it?" Kaminari asked, a little nervous from the answer he might receive.

"Oh, most definitely," Uraraka admitted walking back from the kitchen. "I heard your conversation and I couldn't help but intervene. The topic is quite intriguing," She took a sip of tea she got from the kitchen and sat down next to me on the couch.

"Uraraka! Can't you tell he was nervous! You shouldn't have given him that much of a straight-forward answer!" Iida exclaimed.

"He asked!" Uraraka raised her voice and hands in defense.

Hanahaki was just discovered recently. After many reports of blood and flowers, it became the new most dangerous disease. Hanahaki is caused by one-sided love. The person infected will start to grow roots in their lungs. Making it harder to breathe. These roots will grow flowers, and they will rise from your lungs and make you cough it out. Since the source is in your lungs, blood comes along with it. This would soon lead to death. Unless you chose the option of surgery. But that will end up making you lose the ability to love anymore. I did some research about this, so I don't know everything, but Aizawa would explain tomorrow.

"Of course people died. The only cure out there is surgery," I pointed out. Making my first appearance in the conversation. "Though the surgery would mean you lose the ability to love anymore. So I see why people don't do the surgery. That must hurt..." I trail off.

"You've never even been through love, you stupid nerd," Kacchan scoffed, pointing at me from the chair he was sitting in. "How would you know?"

"O-oh! Kacchan! I-It's nothing! I-I can just imagine..." I say.

"Heh, yeah right," He scoffed again.

"Hey," We were startled by the sudden voice of our homeroom teacher. "What are you doing up past curfew. Go to bed," He pointed in the direction of the elevators.

"Yessir!" The class exclaimed in unison. The class got up and started heading for the direction of the elevators and stairs. I went up to the stairs, thinking it would go faster than the elevator.

"What do you mean love?" A gruff voice whispered in my ear. I could tell it was Kacchan. "You've never been through love. Idiot," Shivers were sent down my spine.

"S-Sorry," I muttered, rushing away from where I once was. I wanted to get out of that situation as fast as possible.

I opened my door and got in bed, setting my alarm for the morning. Then leaving my thoughts to consume me.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

I woke up to my alarm screaming to get out of bed. I slam the off button and slump out of bed.

I head towards the boys' restroom to brush my teeth. After that, I walked back to my room and got dressed into my UA outfit, and back downstairs to the common room to eat.

I grabbed some cereal and poured it in my bowl, then milk. I hear shuffling beside me and I look over to see Kaminari pouring in his milk in before cereal.

"Savage," I mutter under my breath.

We all finish eating and preparing for school. We all then headed to the main campus of UA. I walked with Uraraka and Iida as usual.

We arrived a couple of minutes later, and as we entered the classroom, we saw Aizawa, Midnight, Nezu, Cementoss, and Present Mic there as well.

"Take a seat," Aizawa ordered. We all did as he said and sat in our seats.

"Why are the other pros here?" Kaminari asked.

"Hanahaki is very serious. Especially for young people. Like you," Aizawa says. "I'll explain. Hanahaki is caused by one-sided love. Roots will grow in your lungs, making you cough out blood, and flower petals. The color of the flowers signal the favorite color of the one you love. Though the roots in your lungs making it hard to breathe too. There is no cure that ends well,"

"So you're saying there's a cure?" Kirishima asks.

"It can't really be considered a cure. There are only three options. You confess your love and have your feelings returned. If they don't return your feelings, you'll die as the roots grow bigger, making you suffocate. Option two, you undergo a surgery that removes the roots from your lungs. Though this will result in you not being able to feel love towards anyone anymore. Option three, you die. Not really an option though," Aizawa continued. "If you confess your love and your love is accepted. The flowers and roots will not go away magically. The flowers die, so you don't cough up petals anymore. Also, if you cough up a full flower, it means you're close to dying. But anyways, the roots have to be removed somehow, so you will cough up roots instead. Your loved one has to be with you to give you a chance of surviving. If they're not, you'll die. Hanahaki is more serious than you think, be careful about who you fall in love with. That's all," He slipped into his yellow sleeping bag and started sleeping.

"Okay, now that you all know that, let's continue with the lessons," Midnight explained, stepping over to where Aizawa once was.

RIIIIING

The bell signaling that the day was over rang in our ears. Uraraka asked me if I wanted to walk with them, but I politely refused her offer. I had some thoughts during class today.

I walk by myself, wanting a little bit of time to think. All day, after the Hanahaki lesson, Kacchan has been floating around my head. After Aizawa said:

"Be careful about who you fall in love with,"

Kacchan won't leave my mind. And I don't know why. UGH! It's so frustrating!

I arrive at the dorms and excuse myself to my room. I flop on my bed and clutch my stomach as butterflies grew just at the thought of him.

What are these Feelings?
