" I swear...if you pour that on my I will rip you to shreds " my threatening glare startles the new pack member. He whimpers and lowers the red cup full of I assume, green apple punch. I growl and he scampers away.  He's a fairly young boy, tall, strung out and his huge hazel eyes are skittish and look around anxiously.
" i-im sorry miss...he told me to. " the boys voice wavers and I stare past his pointing finger. My mate stares at me from across the cafeteria. His jaw clenched,trying to hold his seriousness. I narrow my eyes at him and his lips part into a big toothy grin. " I should have known it was you " I comment as I stride over to him. He wraps me in a hug and kisses the top of my head. " you should have seen his face. It was hilarious watching it from here. I thought you were going to shank him right then and there" he nudges me and I chuckle. " he's just a boy " I reply
" but you know better " I turn my back to him and scan the room. The space is taken up fully by all of the pack members new and old. Each individual has a cross and crow tattooed behind an ear. Marking them and claiming who they belong to. They belong to me. I...am the alpha wolf, strong and prideful. My mate is the beta. Its not normal that a teenage girl would hold so much power and responsibility but here i am.
I close my eyes and breathe in and slowly out. My mate hugs me from behind, asking if I'm alright. I nod to reassure him. I can feel him tense. He knows I'm lying.
