Draco was sure he'd be put with Blaise. He'd only returned to the retched school because that was the only way to clear his and his mothers name. He wanted to stay and care for his mother, but with his father already in Azkaban, he'd be next if he didn't follow every instruction given to him by the ministry. 'Return to finish your seventh year at Hogwarts.' They had said. Bloody ministry. Hogwarts was less welcoming than ever with all the glaring Gryffindor's. Only three Slytherins had returned, him, Blaise, and, of course, Pansy. There were only two Hufflepuffs and one Ravenclaw. But Gryffindor still had the golden trio, as well as a few of their other friends. Damn Gryffindor.
'Now, as I was saying, you seventh years will be paired up in dorms. Now, I will read out who's paired with who.' Headmistress McGonagall informs the eighth years.
'Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy.' Draco gags and looks over to Potter who is banging his head on the desk.
'Headmistress, I refuse to room with Potter!' Draco stands up and yells. McGonagall looks at him with a bored expression. She knew this was going to come.
'Mr. Malfoy, my sincerest apologies, but we cannot and will not be changing the rooming arrangements.' McGonagall gives him a sour smile.
'But Professor!' Potter gets up and whines.
'No buts Mr. Potter. No changing.' McGonagall says, and her voice commands that that is the final statement. Draco sinks into his seat. What had he done to deserve this? And why was he giving up so easily? Why had they been called first? Was it too embarrass them? No, McGonagall wouldn't want to embarrass her precious Gryffindor Potter. Draco doesn't pay attention, so he doesn't realise that his two best friends also share the same terrible fate as him. Pansy was roomed with Granger, and Blaise was roomed with Weasel. This was going to be a very very hard year.Harrygroaned into his arms.
'Really Harry, it is okay.' Hermione tells him, giving him a sorrowful look.Hermione knew what McGonagall's plan was. She was going to put it into actionin seventh year, but Harry hadn't returned for seventh year. The prophecy wasalready foretold.
'Hermione! Nothing is okay! How can you still be so chill when your roomed withbloody Parkinson?!' Harry exclaims and looks at Ron who is looking down.
'And Ron, you would be fuming! Who are you two and what have you done with myfriends?!' Harry asks recoiling.
'Harry, we just aren't that worried. Voldemort is gone, so we're all fine now. They aren't on the dark side. They're just like us now.' Hermione explains.
'Yeah mate. I think I'll go unpack.' Ron gets up quickly and rushes up to hisroom. Harry places his head in his hands again and groans.A/N
