Hope's Peak High.

Publically acknowledged as a school for the Over Achievers and the Best of the Best, this school lays within the very heart of Tokyo and is supported through government funding. Several students were invited to join this school to advance their skills, make friends, and become the world's next line of potential leaders.

At least, that is what people saw it as. In all actuality, the school filled the students with dread while their minds began to grow fuzzy and their sight blurry.

Darkness. Despair. It completely enveloped these poor students as they were now nothing but a pawn for entertainment.

"A.. classroom..?"

A young boy grunted as he helped himself up from the floor. His back ached in pain as he rose from the solid floor. As sight slowly began to return to the boy, he saw...Cameras and Iron plates? His pale fingers dragged along the surface of the smooth, cold table beside him as he continued to take in his surroundings. The cameras followed his every movement and immediately gave him the impression that someone was watching him. He narrowed his eyes towards the camera, preventing himself from noticing that the classroom door had opened to reveal another boy that certainly had to be his age.

The boy had brown hair with grayish-brown eyes. He certainly seemed shorter and even more jumpy and nervous by comparison.

"O-Oh.. Hi.. At least I'm not the only one here. Nice to meet you...I'm Makoto Naegi. The Ultimate Lucky Student."

Makoto Naegi. Ultimate Lucky Student.

"Well.. Call me (YN). Are we the only ones here?"
Naegi: I certainly hope not.. Though Lady Luck doesn't really seem to be on my side. Hopefully we can at least find someone who can give us some answers."

(YN) nodded as both of the boys left the classroom; unaware about the ID that was left behind. (YN) covered his eyes as a bright pink light assaulted his retinas. Naegi walked further ahead and continued to open any door that was in sight.

While Naegi made sure to stay within range, (YN) took in the environment of the hall. They were empty and the pink light gave him an uneasy feeling. It was lined up with a sort of checker board and pillar pattern that spread across the entire path... He couldn't help feel an empty feeling in his stomach. His nerves were cut off guard as Naegi came running back to him, he shook his head and ignored his suspicions as Naegi pointed back to a door that was at the very end of the hall.

Naegi: I think that's the gym.
(YN): It's at the end of the hall. What gave it away?
Naegi: I.. Yeah. I should have known. Ehehe..
(YN): Lets just go. I'm certain we'll get answers soon enough.
