Hi everyone, it has been a while.
Honestly, there's no more than 3 chapters left until the end of this book but for some reason I have lost complete motivation to complete it. I just keep coming back to write it but then I end up leaving it after writing a few sentences. I have already promised that I will complete it though and I definitely will. I'm going to try and focus on completing this for the next few days but I can't make any promises on when I'll post the next chapter.
I'm really sorry and I want to thank you all for your patience and support.

"It's not a bad offer, you know?" Mrs. Sage said as she followed behind me, referring to the offer my father had just made me.
I stopped in my tracks and turned to her with a glare.
"No, don't you dare begin!" I shouted at her. "I do not want anything to do with that man."
"You're being dramatic," she cautiously said. "Just think of your future. This will be a wonderful opportunity for our company too. I can al--"
"Stop right there," I growled, making her eyes widen. "I do not fucking care if this is a wonderful opportunity for your company. I want nothing at all to do with that man and that man's company, understood? So either get lost or shut up!"
Was I being rude? Yes. Was I being dramatic? Yes.
But they seriously can't expect me to just forgive the man I blamed for my mother's death overnight. I have hated him ever since my mother's death and I can't just forget my feelings for the sake of business. And that man who contributed in bringing me to this world was a selfish bastard who didn't care for me at all. Everything he ever did was for his own greed. He didn't care whether I forgave him or not. He just needed someone to continue in his footsteps. Too bad for him I was no fool who succumbed to money.
"Guys!" Lucas suddenly shouted, bringing me out of my reverie. "Look at this!"
He pushed a restaurant menu right into my face and waved it until I pulled it out of his hand.
"I'm not hungry," I said as I attempted to walk past him.
Lucas rolled his eyes before he took the menu out of my hands and pointed at the name.
"Good Soup," he read as if I didn't have the ability to read myself.
"Yes, I have been there before, nice food but I'm not hungry," I said, referring to the time I had attended Vanessa's blind date in her place.
Lucas groaned before he turned to Mrs. Sage, "This store doesn't seem familiar to you?"
Mrs. Sage stared at the photo before she nodded, "Oh right, I went to the Grand Opening."
"Yes," Lucas said, pushing her to say more. When she didn't he sighed and turned the menu to the back and showed us a photo of a young man around my age with a chef outfit on. "This is Benjamin Christensen, one of Daniel's closest friends!"
Mrs. Sage and I stared at him blankly waiting for him to elaborate.
"Where does Daniel go when he's upset?" He asked, turning to Mrs. Sage.
She thought about it for a minute before responding, "He meets up with his college friends."
"Finally!" Lucas grinned. "Yes, he meets up with his college gang. He already ran away to Issa before and River just got married so he wouldn't go to him either. His friend Valentine is on a family trip to Italy so he's out automatically. That only leaves Benjamin!"
"Why didn't you just say that from the beginning!" I all but growled at him as I pulled the menu out of his hand.
"I'll drive," Mrs. Sage offered. I didn't bother fighting because in my current mood, the likelihood of getting in an accident was pretty high.
"How sure are you that he's here?" I asked Lucas once we finally made it to the restaurant. I was feeling too nervous to actually leave the car and look for my husband. It has been almost a week since he found out that I lied to him and I haven't heard from him once during that period of time.
But I couldn't blame him either. He told me that he'll forgive everything besides a lie and I have done nothing but lie to him since we first met. I wouldn't want to see me either if I was in his shoes.
"One hundred percent," Lucas responded. "If there's one thing I know about Daniel, it's that he doesn't like being alone when he's upset."
I stared at him for a few moments before I turned to Mrs. Sage. She simply nodded at me, knowing what I was going to ask before I even did.
"Fine," I sighed. "He better be there!" I warned.
Two hours later we were parked outside the restaurant.
"How much longer are you planning to sit here?" Lucas whined. I pressed my lips together as I shot him a glare.
The restaurant was only about twenty minutes away from the Sages' mansion so it didn't take long to arrive at all. However, I had been feeling beyond nervous and because of the anxiety, we had been camping in front of the restaurant for almost two hours.
"Would you like me to go inside and speak to him first?" Mrs. Sage asked, her voice sounding softer than ever.
I swallowed the lump in y throat and shook my head. Deep down, I did want her to go in and talk to him first but I was an adult and I needed to face my own problems myself.
"I can do it," I said as I unfastened my seat belt and finally stepped out of the car.
"We'll be right here," Lucas told me with a smile. I still could not get used to his presence but I still felt glad that there was someone who was supporting me. I smiled in return and with a smile, I turned and made my way towards the restaurant.
The restaurant was exactly how I remembered it: warm and homely. The aura of the place really calmed my feelings down a bit. I walked in a little deeper to the store and looked around, hoping that Daniel would be seated on one of the tables. He was not.
I bit down on my bottom lip, somehow expecting that to help with the anxiety but all it did was give me a stinging pain in my lip. I internally cursed and stepped towards the counter.
"Hello and welcome to Good Soup," the girl smiled at me. "Will you be dining in or would you like to take away?"
I opened and closed my mouth like a stun mullet, unsure of what I was supposed to say. Would this girl even know who Daniel is? I decided I would just ask for her boss but before I could even say anything, I heard my name being called out from behind me.
"Isabella?" the voice I had been wanting to hear the most in the world called out to me. My heart rate picked up and I felt almost out of breath. I turned to see him and was left breath-taken by the sight of my husband.
It had been such a long time since I had seen him and I wanted to do nothing but run into his arms and kiss him.
But his surprised expression quickly turned into a cold and angry one and I was reminded of my reality.
"Daniel," I breathed out his name as tears began to drop down my face. I wanted to say so many things to him but from the look on his face, he did not want to see me.
I had originally planned to barge in here and forcefully speak to him but now that I was living in the moment, it did not seem like an appropriate thing to do. So instead I did what any normal person would do.
"Can I speak to you?" I asked, my voice sounding desperate.
I then nervously waited for his response with each second feeling like an eternity.
