The following morning, I woke up really late. I didn't exactly know the time, but could tell by the amount of busy noise coming from the surroundings. I yawned, walking into the bathroom for a quick shower. When I was done I changed into a pair of washed blue jeans, and an orange tank top.
I wasn't in a very jolly mood, so I just packed my hair into a messy bun, and put no makeup on. I also laid the bed and arranged a few of Edna's stuff that was scattered around.
The house was silent, which meant Edna was off to work. For a while now she's been the active one at work, while I just sat about. I wasn't even delivering bread again.
I sneezed.
Crap. I've caught a cold.
I walked over to the sitting room, sighting my work bag sitting down on a couch, I grabbed it tossing it onto my arm. I didn't bother about breakfast. Not like Edna would cook anyways. Quickly I went over to the fridge and grabbed a cartoon of milk. Back to the sitting room, I slid my legs into my white canvas, and stepped out of the door.
The sun was out, making everywhere so warm. The breeze was warm, the flowers were looking colorful and bright. I walked through the streets, greeting people here and there. Some flattered me calling me Rose(because of winning the bidding the other day) some replied back casually. Although the all of sudden nice weather was suspicious, I was still thankful for it.
After minutes of walking, I finally sighted the shop a few metres away.
Our shop was located by the side of a road. I was supposed to be on the other side, meaning i didn't need to cross the road, but I had passed another route this morning, so I had to cross over to get to the shop. From where I stood I sighted a figure moving around the shop. I smiled a little recognizing Edna.
I looked back to the road, waiting for the red color. I dropped my shoulders in annoyance after waiting for about a minute already. I should have just passed the normal route.
Just then the light changed colors, granting the pedestrians a chance to cross. As quick as I could, I ran across the road. I was almost at the other end, when I suddenly tripped over my feet, stepping on a loose shoe lace, falling face flat in the middle of the road.
Shit!
My things were scattered around. I glanced up quickly. The red light was changed into the orange color. As quick as I could I tried to move my legs, but my ankle was sprained.
Dragging and crawling on the floor, I picked my things one after the other.
Before I knew it, Honks here and there blared at me, almost making my eardrums burst. I bit my lips in anger, reaching for my phone, the last thing I had to pick.
"Hey! Keep your voices down okay?!!!" I yelled at the cars rolling my eyes, then glanced up.
It was the green light already.
Shit. Shit.Shit.
"Hey! Move your helpless ass out of my way!" A middle aged man yelled, popping his head out of the window.
I narrowed my eyes at him, biting my lips from saying something that would make the bald man cry. I didn't want to start my day being a rude ass. I tried to get up on my feet, but I fell back miserably.
"Leave the road!"
"Someone call the cops!"
I shut my ears, offended and feeling ashamed. It wasn't my fault that I fell down. It wasn't my fault my ankle sprained and i can't move. With my teeth clenched, I focused my gaze on the other side, crawling as fast as I could.
