I kept my eyes fixed on the road, trying to get my mind off how good he looked and the fact that he owned a rolls Royce!
Compared to the other day when he looked like a schoolboy, today he actually looked more mature and good looking. Maybe it was the fact that his bangs had been replaced by a sleek all back hairstyle making his caramel hair look all chocolaty...or the casual button down shirt he had on, with it's button riding down a few inches to reveal his chest...or the way he held the steering with his muscles buffing out, making him look like he was in control.
"We are late" he said, as he took a turn round a roundabout.
We were about to get there. I could here the distant noise. The bass beat vibrating all around, made me feel like it was going great and fun. Of course it would!
"Yh..." I said quietly, feeling guilty that I caused this. When I got home to change, I found him standing waiting at the door for me. I apologized and told him to wait for me to quickly change. It took me an additional thirty minutes to get dressed.
His lips twitched up in a sly smile, his eyes beaming with amusement "c'mon no need to feel guilty. I tell you, I am also late Everytime"
I smiled, appreciating his attempt at cheering me up. But I couldn't make him think I was vulnerable "I am not feeling guilty. I was just thinking how much we would have missed"
His eyes skimmed over me then settled on my chest area. I glared at him trying to ward him off, and scare him, but he didn't flinch rather he smirked. This was surely not the same Dwight as the first time.
"Stop staring" I protested in a calm tone.
One thing about me. I wasn't the type of girl that would blush openly when a guy complimented her, or make it obvious that a guy was making me feel hot. Maybe...there might be exceptions...and yes I am completely normal but I just don't appreciate showing my vulnerability.
Garry taught me that.
"I like you" he suddenly said, fixing his eyes back on the road.
My heart started beating faster, reacting to his statement. A guy has never ever told me that before. I didn't know how to react. What to do. What to say! I was totally new to this. I bit my lips trying to prevent my nervousness from rolling out.
Say something Grey! Anything! Stop looking affected by his words.
"People tell me so" I managed to keep my voice steady. I had a feeling I would screw this up.
He chuckled under his breath, totally taken aback by my response...I don't know why.
"You've got some sass...and..." He stopped, making me glance at him...just to find his eyes on my chest area again "a nice chest"
Something glinted in his eyes...I rolled my eyes.
Flirting Hun?
"You too"
The words rolled out of my mouth like I didn't mean it. But he really had a nice chest.
We arrived at the venue, and the parking lot was fully occupied. He had to park miles away from there, in order to get a good spot to park. I got down from the car...I really didn't want to leave the car...it was so cozy and nice. I'd rather we sat in there all day. But not to sound like some mentally derailed asshole, I just had to.
I walked round the car, to meet him where he stood at the front.
God...he even looked hotter standing up!
"You ready?" He asked, excitement in his voice.
I was beginning to like him.
I nodded, glancing down to see his hands stretched out to me. I was unsure whether or not to hold hands with him.
