Chapter 8: Doesn't Seem To Be Breathing

Leafy walked over to Firey. "Hello cutie," Firey flirted. Leafy giggled as she hugged Firey tightly. "Oh Firey, your adorable with that face!" Leafy teased. Firey blushed, stuttering. He was a bit flustered. Leafy nudged him with her nose a bit. Firey blushed more. Kaidy walked over. "Hey love birds!" she teased. Firey looked at Kaidy. "What do you mean?". " You know what I mean~" Kaidy winked at Firey. "Shut up Kaidy!" Firey said madly. "Aw don't get so mad ember nugget.". " GO AWAY KAIDY!" Firey said mader than ever. "Whatever ember nugget.". " STOP CALLING ME THAT!" Firey said furiously. "enough!" Leafy shouted as she tried to pull them apart. Kaidy accidentally smacked Firey. Firey looked at Kaidy looking sad but very mad. Firey smacked Kaidy. "Ow!" Kaidy groaned. Kaidy tackled Firey and started smacking him. Firey did the same to Kaidy. They had a smack fight and Leafy trying to stop them.

Leafy threw them off each other. Firey snarled loudly. "Cut it out!" Leafy screamed. Firey looked at Leafy and hugged her. "Gosh guys, you don't need to fight.." Leafy muttered under her breath. Loser walked in. "Hey guys, I heard Bracelety kept following Ice Cube around," Loser said. "What!?" Confusion hit Firey. What in the heck? Bracelety stalking Ice Cube? Doesn't seem like her- why would she even do that? "Hm, peculiar.." Leafy mumbled as she walked off to find Bracelety. Firey watched Leafy as she walked away. He looked back at Loser. "Mind if I just go? With her?" He asked. "Of course not Firey!" Loser replied. Firey nodded, he caught up with Leafy. "Wait up Leafy!" Firey shouted. He walked by her side. "Hey Firey, you just can't seem to leave my side can you?" Leafy asked. Firey giggled as he hugged Leafy. "No..I will never leave you," Firey said. "And we're always going to be together, me, you, Kaidy, Bracelety and Bubble," he finished. Leafy nodded. Kaidy mumbled under her breath "I don't think so..."Their eyes caught Bracelety hugging a tired out Ice Cube. "Interesting.." Leafy mumbled. Firey looked at Bracelety. "So you're obsessed with this opposite of me?" Firey asked. Leafy nudged her roughly with her shoulder, giving him a dirty look. Firey giggled, dying inside. "Wasn't being rude!" Bracelety looked up at Firey. "I like french fries," she said before going back to hugging Ice Cube.  "What-" Leafy raised her eye brow. "Lets go get some fresh air Bracelety," Leafy said, looking at Bracelety. "Yeah Ice Cube looks pretty worn out from all the stalk- I mean avoid- I mean hugging!" Firey added. Leafy growled, "Firey!" She yipped. "Sorry-" Firey responded, waiting for Bracelety's response. "No thanks, I'm Gucci," Bracelety replied, holding up the 'ok' sign. Leafy sighed. "Well Firey, let us get fresh air then," she said as she grabbed Firey's hand and walked outside. Firey smiled as he looked up. Birds sore above them, singing as the wind carried it's gentle breeze. Leafy looked at the kids playing, it was almost time for learning, great..

Firey sniffed the air, picking up a sweet scent. With him being the curious flame, walked over to check it out. Leafy and Kaidy watched Firey leave. "I'll be back in three seconds!" Firey said before leaving. The scent got stronger. He then saw an arm under a pile of jumprope. He carefully tugged on the arm. What could it be? Is it dangerous? He pulled out the being. It was..Gelatin. His chest was busted open as a green liquid tailed his body. Firey screamed and jumped back. Gelatin's eyes were closed, was he dead? Firey approached the poor lifeless soul. He shook him, he was definitely dead. Firey's heart sank. "L-Leafy! Get over here!!"

Leafy bolted over there, decidedly bringing Kaidy along. "O-Oh my god!! Gelatin!" Leafy screamed. "He's dead!" She whimpered as she bolted away to tell a teacher. Firey and Kaidy exchanged looks.

Four dashed in. He picked Gelatin's dead body up. "It seems to have been here for days.." Four muttering. He phoned the police. The police are back. The suspect is never found. And it was stupid, how could a cop not find a child suspect! The suspect probably did whatever they could to not get into court. Wondering who's pressing charges.
