Sunflowers.
They were Hoseok's favorite. He would often buy them to decorate his garden but he wasn't very good at taking care of them. To be truthful, he kept buying them so he could see the Flourist at the flower shop.
The Flourist's name is Yoongi.
Oh Yoongi.
The complete opposite of Hoseok. Hoseok was an energetic dancer who would major in dancing at the end of the summer at a college in all the way in Seoul. Yoongi was a sleepy pianist who wanted to major in music but his family had decided it was time for him to run the flower shop on his own. It wasnt his passion but he kind of got over it the more he got to Hoseok.
Hoseok had gotten home from his summer dance class and decided that it was time to buy more flowers, or at least look at them since its an excuse to see Yoongi. He put his favorite jacket on, which was a Christmas gift from Yoongi, and took a bike ride down to the flower ship which was only a few blocks away. This flower shop is in a small town that Hoseok lives in called, "Jamais Vu." Much like the term "Jamais Vu," The town feels familiar and in which case welcoming. Its a quiet town where nothing happens but Hoseok has made quite a few friends such as his dancing buddy, Jungkook.
Hoseok stopped his pastel yellow bike in front of the Flower shop and greeted Yoongi with his usual sunshine smile. Yoongi gave a tired smile back to him. "We just got some new sunflowers today." Yoongi said with a hint of Daegu satoori in his voice. Hoseok quickly made his way over to the sunflowers and smelled their sweet and fresh scent.
Hoseok liked Sunflowers because everyone called him "Sunshine" growing up, and Sunflowers are directed toward the sun as they grow. So he thinks of Sunflowers as the "flowers that love him back."
He walked up to the counter with a bouqet of sunflowers and conversed with Yoongi for a bit.
"So, you're headed to college at the end of the summer?" Yoongi said with interest, which was rare coming from him. "Yeah! I'm gonna dance down the streets of Seoul!" Hoseok said with pure joy and excitement. "Well- Great for you Hobi." Yoongi said with an unnoticably fake smile.
Yoongi loved Hoseok.
Seoul is such a long way away.
He loved seeing Hoseok come in everyday and seeing him smile like there's not a single care in his mind. It was almost inspiring how much hope Hoseok had for everyone in his life. Yoongi needed that kind of hope in his life.
Hoseok is that hope.
