Joshua Hong - The New Resident

:: Eight ::

School had resume but it's going to be hectic since our exams are coming.

"Ahhh! I can't believe exams are here!" Eun Seok whines.

"Well, time to study" Seung Cheol says.

"Aishh, go be with your girlfriend!" Says Eun Seok.

"Girlfriend?!" I ask in shock.

"She's not my girlfriend Jo Eun Seok!" Says Seung Cheol.

"Woah wait, Cheol, you have a girlfriend?" I ask.

"Ani! She's just my clingy cousin!" Says Seung Cheol.

"Her name is Kang Hee Yeon and she's a year younger than us" says Eun Seok.

"But she's not my girlfriend! We're cousins!" Says Seung Cheol.

"Seung Cheol-ie yah!!!" A voice yelled.

"Oh my gosh— H-Hee Yeon ah!" Seung Cheol gasps.

The girl name Hee Yeon came and immediately cling onto Seung Cheol.

"Cheol ah, is she your girlfriend?" I ask.

"She's not—"

"Yes I'm his girlfriend! Annyeong, you must be Yoo Ro Eun!" She says with a smile.

"Hee Yeon ah, can you bring your boyfriend elsewhere?" Eun Seok ask with a wink.

"I'll be happy to! Gomawo Eun Seok-ie!" Hee Yeon exclaims and drags Seung Cheol away, much to his dismay.

"Wow, she's clingy" I said.

"Told ya" says Eun Seok.

"So, have you thought about his confession?" Eun Seok ask.

Oh right... Joshua's confession.

"I-I don't know. I've talked to my cousin and friend about this but..."

"Are you scared?" Eun Seok ask.

"Maybe, I mean, we've only met for quite a while..." I started to trail off.

"What did Bin and Tae Il say?" She ask.

"Well, Bin-ie says that if I constantly think about him, there's a chance that I may like him.

On the other hand, Tae Il says almost the same thing. Just that he wants me to reconsider about it.

He says that I may regret and he may not be the one for me. But who knows, if you're in love, anything can happen" I said.

"Sounds like they both have a point" says Eun Seok.

"What do I do? I mean, sure Joshua hasn't mention about the confession but... I'm pretty sure he's waiting for my answer" I said.

"Hmm, how do you really feel?" Eun Seok ask.

"Well, I thought that we should at least get to know each other better before we actually... Start dating?

I mean I like Joshua but... Not in that way yet. I think if we just hang out as friends first, maybe my feelings might change" I said.

"Then you should tell him that. It's better than lying to his feelings" says Eun Seok.

"You're right, I'll go look for him—"

"I heard everything"

I turn around to see Joshua.

"J-Joshua! I—"

"Gwaenchana, I understand it's a little too fast to confess. I'll wait and we can still hang out as friends" says Joshua and I gave a small smile.

"Gomapta Joshua, for understanding" I said.

"No worries, I'll wait for your answer and I'll continue to wait" He says.

"Nooooo! I can't believe exams are here!!" Eun Seok panicks.

"Calm down Eun Seok ah, today is not even your paper!" I said.

"She's right, it's General Biology and Psychological Studies!" Says Jeong Han.

"It's still in the exam period!" Says Eun Seok and I face palmed.

"Ro Eun ah!" I turn to see Joshua running towards us.

"Hey Joshua!" I greeted.

"Are you ready for the exam?" Joshua ask.

"Not really, I was never strong in General Biology but I'll manage" I said.

"I know it's last minute but here, hope these notes helps" says Joshua as he hands me a notebook.

I then flip through the pages and I realized that he summarize all the important points.

"Woah, everything seems clear and understandable Joshua yah!" I exclaimed.

"Shall we study together before it starts?" Joshua ask.

"Sure thing" I said.

"Yah Yoo Ro Eun, are you leaving me alone?!" Eun Seok whines.

"Jeong Han is with you" says Joshua.

"Okay!" Eun Seok suddenly beams.

"Let's go to the hall" I said and Joshua nods.
