"(Y/N) darling, come in!" Mrs. Hudson said as she greeted me at the door.

"Hello, Mrs. Hudson" I said, walking into the entry way.

"How have you been?" she asked, embracing me into a hug.

"I've been well" I said, hugging her back.

"Do you need help with your bags?" she asked, looking outside.

"Oh no, this is it" I said, adjusting the backpack on my shoulder then grabbing the handle of the suitcase.

"Ah, well your room is this way" she said, closing the door.

I followed behind her as she showed me the small room on the first floor.

"It's not much but there's a bathroom through that door there" she said, pointing to a corner of the room.

I set my bags down on the bed and walked over to the bathroom. It was simple, just a toilet, sink and shower, but that's all I needed.

"It's perfect" I said as Mrs. Hudson waited at the door.

"I'm so glad" she said, the smile never leaving her face the whole time. "Now if you'd like we can go upstairs, I can make you a cup of tea?" she asked.

"That would be lovely" i smiled back.

We walked back the short distance to the stairwell and as we reached the bottom we heard footsteps coming down.

"Morning Mrs. Hudson" a man said.

"John this is the new tenant, (y/n). (Y/N) this is John Watson, he shares the upstairs." she said, introducing us.

"Nice to meet you" he said, shaking my hand.

I nodded my head, giving him a smile.

"Off so soon?" Mrs. Hudson asked as John made his way to the door.

"Yes but i'll be back in a jiff." he said, waving at both of us as he closed the door.

We made our way upstairs and through the door at the top.

"So, this is the kitchen..." she said as she rounded the corner.

I walked slowly behind her, taking in the room in front of me. Papers were scattered everywhere across the furniture and desks. A small fireplace on one wall with two chairs placed in front of it.

"Cream or sugar deary?" Mrs. Hudson's voice said, bringing me out of my daze.

"No thanks." I said back, walking into the kitchen and sitting down at the table.

"I'm sorry for the mess, these boys can't seem to keep the place clean" she said, shaking her head as she poured the tea into two cups.

I gave a slight chuckle as I took a sip, the hot liquid warming my mouth.

"I trust you got here alright dear?" she asked, sitting down across from me.

"It was just fine, thank you." I said, placing the cup back down.

Mrs. Hudson and I continued to talk for a while until our cups were empty. She took both the cups and placed them into the sink as I got up and made my way back into the room. I walked over to the big window, looking down at the quiet street below.

"You must be new" I heard a deep voice say from behind me, making me jump.

I turned around to see a tall man dressed in a long black trench coat, standing in the doorway.

"Yes, i'm the new tenant" I said, making my way over to shake his head. "I'm (y/n)"

I put my hand out for the man to take but he just stood there, staring at me.

"Sherlock" was all he said.

Okay...

I put my hand down as Mrs. Hudson made her way over to us.

"Sherlock" she said, almost as a warning.

He starred at me for a moment more before he quickly moved into the room, taking his coat off and sitting down in a chair.

Mrs. Hudson gave me a small smile.

"Well i'm going to go unpack" I told Mrs. Hudson, giving her a smile back and making my way downstairs.
