"Did you hear about the rumor that has been going on recently?"
Kai took another bite from his hamburger and looked at his friend. "What rumor, Lucas?"
"About Pokémons going rabid and attacking their trainers," Lucas informed seriously.
"No, I haven't heard any of such things," Kai replied. "But let's just hope that it's just a fake rumor."
Lucas nodded and finished his sandwich. "But let's say that the rumor is true. What'd you do if the virus attacked Charmander?"
Kai glanced beside him and saw his Charmander, cutely sitting beside him and swinging his legs. "Char?"
Kai laughed and patted its head. "I'd never ever let that thing anywhere close to Charmander."
"Me too. I want to protect my Pikachu from that thing too," Lucas said, looking at his Pokémon, totally doe-eyed.
