Part 2

Billy's POV

I sat on my bed with my head in my hands. I couldn't get Steve out of my head. I walked to Max's room. "I'm uh.. going to get some movies" I said. "Okay" Max said looking confused. I walked out and grabbed my keys off the table. I drove to the Video shop where Steve worked. I walked in. Steve froze as I looked into his eyes. "Harrington" I said smiling. "Billy" Steve said. "Billy?" Robin said confused looking at Steve. "Uh yea this is um Billy" Steve said. I introduced myself. I looked at Steve confused as to who she was. "I'll be back" Steve said walking around the counter. "Okay" robin said. "Who's that" I asked Steve. "Robin.. a friend of mine who worked at scoops with me" he said. A big weight was just lifted off me. I got scared that it was his girlfriend. "Where have you been" Steve asked. "I moved" I said biting my lip. I put my head down. Steve hugged me. "What's wrong" he asked. "I missed you" I said holding his hand. "I missed you too Billy" Steve said. "I'm not good for you" I said putting my head down. Steve lifted my chin. "You are perfect Billy" he said gazing into my eyes. I hugged him tight. I held his hands in mine. "Steve" robin called. Steve pulled his hands away. "I gotta go" he said. He held my hand one last time before leaving. "Call me later" I said. "Okay" Steve said smiling. I went out to my car. I sat there smiling. I drove home. I walked in the door and went to my room. Max came in. "So what movies did you get" she asked. "Oh uh.. none the video shop was closed" I said. "Oh okay" max said confused. She went into the living room. I sat by my phone waiting for a call from Steve. At 11pm Steve finally called. "Harrington" I said smiling to myself. "Billy" Steve said. I bit my lip. "I love you Billy" he said. I paused. "I love you too Steve" I said smiling. "You're pretty cute as a lifeguard" Steve said. "I'm pretty sure you were cuter as an ice cream scooper" I said. We both laughed. "I can't believe we hated each other at one point" Steve said. "I know.. it seems impossible now" I said. We talked for a few hours. Steve ended up falling asleep so I hung up. I sat with my hands behind my head. I bit my lip thinking of Steve in his sailors outfit. I fell asleep. In the morning I drove over to see Steve at the video shop. Steve took me to the break room. He held my hands in his. I couldn't stop smiling at him. "Last night was fun" I said. "I have to go to work later.. maybe you can stop by the pool" I said. "I'll try" Steve said smiling. "I better go back out" he said. On his way out I grabbed his wrist. "Harrington" I said. "Yes Billy" he asked. "Will you be my boyfriend" I said. "Yes Billy" he said smiling. I smiled back. "I love you" I said as he walked out. I went out to my car and drove home. I made Max lunch and went to the Hawkins Pool. Later on Steve came. I went on my break and took Steve to the lockers. He was up against the lockers. I put my arm against the locker beside him. We kept smiling at each other. Steve kissed me. I froze looking at him. "What" Steve said. "What was that" I asked. "Affection.. a kiss" he said. I sat silently for a few seconds. "I'm sor-" he said before I kissed him again. I smiled at him. He bit his lip. "You look cute" Steve said. I smiled. "Thanks Harrington" I said. He grabbed my hand and held it in his. I licked my lips. "Do this again Friday" I asked. "Yes" Steve said smiling. Steve had to go. I put my arm on the fence and watched him walk to his car. I went back on the lifeguard post.

I got up excited to see Steve again. I made me and Max breakfast. "You're in a really good mood today" Max said. I smiled at her. "New girl" she asked. "It's um.." I said. "A guy" she asked. "Yes" I said with my head down. "It's okay" she said. "Who is it" she asked. "Steve.." I said. "That's cute" she said smiling. I smiled back at her. I finished my breakfast and got ready for work. I drove to the pool. I waited for Steve to show up. He never came. I tried calling him but he wouldn't answer my calls. I sat in my room with my head in my hands. I sat in bed until I fell asleep. In the morning I drove down to the video shop. I saw Steve talking to Robin and rubbing her shoulder. I walked in upset. "Can I talk to you" I asked. "Hold on" Steve said. I grabbed his hand and brought him to the break room. "What's going on" Steve asked. "Where were you yesterday" I said. "Shit" he said under his breath. "Look I was with robin" he said. "Really Steve" I said. "It's not like-" he said before I cut him off. "I thought she was a friend" I said. "She is billy just listen to me" he said. "I already have trust issues Steve.. you know that" I said putting my head down. "Hey" he said lifting my chin. I hit his arm. "Don't 'hey' me" I said angrily. "I'm done" I said. "This is over Harrington" I said. "Billy wait" he said grabbing my arm. "Let go of me" I said. Steve looked me in the eyes still gripping my arm. I pulled my arm away and got in my car. "Billy please" he said through the door. I drove home with a tear running down my face. I got home and slammed my door. "Billy.." Max said. "Go away max" I said on the verge of tears. "Billy what's wrong" she asked. I opened the door with tears running down my face. She hugged me. I explained what happened. "He's such a douchebag" Max said. I put my head down. "But he was mine" I said under my breath. "You have to get back at him" she said. "Like how" I asked. "Date his ex" Max said. "But that was Nancy" I said. "Her and Jonathan broke up so it'd work" she said. "I guess" I said. I really didn't want to do it to Steve but I was upset and angry. "Let's do it" I said. Max got me dressed up. I went out and got flowers. "Are you sure this is gonna work" I asked Max. "You'll only know if you try" she said. I drove to Mrs. Wheelers house. I rung the doorbell. Mrs. Wheeler answered. "Billy" she said surprised. "I thought we-" she said. "I'm here for Nancy" I said cutting her off. "Oh.. I'll go get her" Mrs wheeler said. "You can wait in the kitchen" she said. I sat at the table. Mrs wheeler came down. "She'll be down soon" she said. I waited a few minuets. Nancy came down in a black dress with heels. "You look pretty" I said. "And these are for you" I said handing her the flowers. "Thank you" she said smiling. I brought her out to my car. I opened the door for her and got in the other side. "So why are you taking me on a date" she asked. "Honestly for revenge on Steve for ditching me for Robin" I said. "Oh.." Nancy said. "I always thought he had a thing for you" she said. "Really" I asked. "Yeah" she said. "But Mike said he's been all heart eyes for that Robin girl he worked with" she said. "I knew it" I said gripping the steering wheel. "Hey it's okay" Nancy said. "I'll help you with this" she said. "Really.. but why" I asked. "You're a good person billy" she said. "And I don't want to see you upset like this after everything you've been through" she said. "Well thanks Nancy" I said. She smiled at me. I ended up taking her out shopping. We got her some new bathing suits to wear in front of Steve. "Does this look good" she kept asking trying on every bathing suit. I didn't know what she meant so I said 'sure' for most. She picked out one to wear at the pool. I assumed Steve would come and try to talk to me there. Once we got her bikini we went out for dinner. "You're actually a good hearted person" Nancy said. "A lot of people see you as mean and everything but you've been through a lot.." she said. "I know" I said. "It's hard" I said looking down. "Well I'm glad you're being nicer and everything" she said. We finished dinner. I drove her home. "I'll pick you up tomorrow" I said. "Okay" she said. I drove home. Max was waiting in the living room. "Soo.. how'd it go" she asked as I walked in the door. "She's in" I said. "Yay!" Max said. I smiled. I went to my room and went to bed. I slept in. I got up and got dressed. After that I drove to get Nancy. "Hey Nancy" I said as she got in the car. "Hi billy" she said. "You ready for this" I asked. "Yes" she said. I drove us to the pool. Nancy went into the girls locker room. I waited outside. She put her bikini on. I had my shirt off. I walked by Nancy. She put my hand on her waist. Steve ended up showing up. He looked over at me and Nancy. "Nanc what are you doing with Billy" he asked her. "Why do you care" Nancy said with an attitude. I looked over at Steve. He looked back at me. "Really" he said. "Okay and you're out with Robin.. what's the difference" I said. "That's my ex girlfriend" he said. "Like it doesn't still hurt to see you with robin" I said. Steve went silent. I walked to the boys locker room and sat in the shower with my head in my knees. I heard footsteps. "Go away Harrington" I said. "Billy just listen" he said. I didn't move. "Robin doesn't like me" he said. "What" I asked confused. "She's.. not straight" he said. "Oh" I said in shock. "But why did you ditch me to hangout with her.. and why were you rubbing her shoulder" I said. "She had a rough night and needed someone.. and I was comforting her" he said. I put my head down. "I'm so stupid" I said. "You are not stupid Billy" Steve said. "I could've lost you over my trust issues" I said. "But I'm still here" he said grabbing my hand. I looked up at him. He slowly leaned in and kissed me. "I love you Billy Hargrove" he said. I looked down. "Billy" Steve said. I walked out. He followed me. I stopped and looked back at him. He looked heartbroken. I grabbed Nancy's hand and brought her to my car. "What happened" she asked. I closed me eyes and took a deep breath. "I.. I don't know" I said. I think I'm in love with Nancy wheeler.. The rest of the car ride was quiet. We got to Nancy's house. Before she got out I stopped her. "I think I'm.. in love" I said. Nancy looked confused. "With.. me" she asked. "Yes" I said looking down. "How about you come in and we talk about this" she said. I followed her inside and to her room. "What's going on Billy" she asked. "I don't know.. I guess I'm like.. losing feelings for Steve" I said. "How so" she asked. "When he came into the locker room to talk.. he kissed me" I said. "But this time I didn't feel like I did last time" I continued. "You didn't like it" she asked. "I just didn't feel in love with him" I said. "But how'd you fall for me" she asked. "You're beautiful.. understanding and caring" I said. She blushed.

Steve's POV

Billy not saying he loves me hurt. I didn't know what to do or say. I'm scared I'm gonna lose him.

Billy's POV

Mike came into Nancy's room while we were talking. "Billy" he said. "Hi Mike" I said. He looked at me holding Nancy's hand. I pulled my hand away. "Uh okay I'll just go" he said. He walked out of the room. "I should go too" I said. Nancy grabbed my wrist as I tired to get up. She kissed me. I smiled at her. I walked to my car and went home. I was falling hard for Nancy.

Steve's POV

Mike told me that he saw Billy and Nancy together.. and heard them talking. He said that Billy has feelings for Nancy and he had his hand on hers. Not gonna lie that broke my heart. I didn't know what to do to win him over.
