Happily Ever After (A Colby Brock Fanfiction)

~Chapter 11~

Mara's Point Of View 

***Four Months Later***

This is it. Today is the day. The day that I have been dreaming about ever since I was a little girl: my wedding day. I am so excited that today is the day that I get to marry the man of my dreams who also just so happens to be my best friend in the whole entire world.

Colby and I both agreed that we just wanted a small wedding, so we just invited our close friends and family. Of course, Avery is going to be the flower girl and she I said just so excited to see her mommy and daddy get married.

Avery and I have just finished getting ready Andy now the girls and I are off to get pictures. The boy said are supposed to be getting their pictures done sometime today too, but who knows with them. It honestly doesn't matter to me either way, I just really don't want to turn into a bridezilla.

After pictures, the girls and I headed back to the park where the wedding is taking place. I am so nervous and I have no idea why. I mean, I love the guy and there's is no one else on the face of this planet that I would imagine spending this day with.

"You ready to go?" Devyn asks me, interrupting me from my thoughts. "Yep, As ready as I'll ever be I guess." "Oh, come on, Mar, there is nothing to be scared of. Your marring the man of your dreams." She said as she grabbed my hand and pulled me along. 

"Well, I guess this is it." I sighed, "My last final moments as a single woman." I laughed to myself as I opened the doors and walked down the aisle to meet the one and only, Cole Robert Brock.

The wedding is now over and let me just say, I didn't realize that I was capable of crying that much. It's not because I was sad, but because I was so happy. We leave tomorrow morning for our honeymoon and I could not be more excited, but I'm a little annoyed because Colby won't tell me where we are going.

He says that it is a surprise and I'll love it, but he also knows that I really hate surprises because I just need to know what it is. Oh well, I suppose that I could just wait one more day until I figure out where it is that we are going.

While we are gone, Sam and Kat are going to be watching Avery. The wedding ceremony was awesome and was decorated beautifully. The reception was also a blast. I can honestly say that it was the most magical day of my life.

"Colby," I called into the other room where Colby was, "Yeah?" "How am I supposed to know what to pack if I don't even know where we are going? Could you at least tell me what the weather is like or something?"

"Well I suppose...Where we are going, it is warm and that's all you are going to get. I would have offered to pack for you, but I know how you are about wanting to pack things on your own." "Well, thank you." "You're welcome, and no trying to guess."

"I won't." I called back into the other room as I was already on my way into our room to start packing. I also need to pack Avery a bag for her stay with Sam and Kat.

After I finished packing for both me and Avery, I decided that I would start to cook dinner while Colby started packing what he needed for the trip. "Hey, Ave, want to help me cook dinner?" 

Her eyes lit up the same way that they do every time I ask her the same question and it was adorable. "Yes!" "Okay, good. Do you have anything in mind that you wanted for dinner tonight?"

She stood there for a moment, "Hmm, maybe spaghetti and meatballs?" "Yes that is a good idea. Plus, we don't even have to go to the store to get any more ingredients." I say giving Avery a high five.

A little while later, the food was all done, Colby was done packing his things for the trip, and we were all ready to eat. We all sat up at the table and started eating. 

"So Ave, how did you like the wedding?" Colby asked our daughter. "It was amazing! I loved getting into my pretty dress and throwing little flowers for mommy to walk on." That made me smile. I would have never thought that I would ever be as happy as I am right now.

After that, we all just finished our dinner and got right to sleep for our big day tomorrow.
