Chapter 6.
Harry’s POV
The next morning I wake to the sun shining bright in my eyes. I look around, not sure why. I don’t have a window that let’s the morning sun in. But then I realise where I am. I am on Olivia’s couch in Olivia’s bedroom in Olivia’s house. She’s on top of me, looking peaceful. I remember the last thing I said to her last night. I know she likes me too, but I guess she’s just not ready to love again. I get that.
“Morning,” Liv says, as she wakes, sitting up.
“What time is it?”
“9:30,” she says, flopping back down.
“You know it’s Thursday, right?”
“I can’t be stuffed. Let’s just stay here all day,” she says, smirking.
“How about we go out and do something. We could get lunch or something.”
“Let’s have a picnic!!” she squeals, clapping her hands together. I laugh.
“You’re so cute,” I say, shaking my head. She frowns.
“Am not.”
“Are too.”
“Am not.”
“Are too.”
“Am not I win full stop next topic,” she says, hands on her hips. God I fucking love her. It’s not funny.
“This is not over.”
“God you’re annoying.”
“Sure sure,” I say as I follow her down to the kitchen. Martha is there making eggs and bacon.
“I figured you two wouldn’t be attending school today. Breakfast is served.”
“Martha, could you get a picnic ready for us?” Liv asks, chewing on some bacon.
“Oh, a picnic!? How romantic!” she says, working her way around the kitchen.
“No Martha. Not romantic. We’re just friends,” Liv says, rolling her eyes. Ouch. That hurts. After saying I love her last night, we’re ‘just friends’!? And after we kissed? Does she not remember that?
“Did you just friend-zone me?” I ask.
“Yup,” she smirks, putting her half eaten piece of bacon on her plate.
“Aren’t you gonna eat that?” I ask, pointing to it.
“Nah. I’ll give it to Mouse.”
“Mouse?” I ask, frowning.
“Oh, that’s right. I’ll go get her.” Liv leaves and walks off somewhere. Martha turns to me.
“She likes you Harry. Lots.”
“I dunno.”
“Trust me. She doesn’t tell anyone about Mouse.” I hear footsteps behind me and turn to see Liv holding the cutest dog I have ever seen.
“Harry, this is Mouse. Mouse, this is Harry,” she says, placing Mouse on the floor. She runs over to me and jumps up onto my lap, licking my face.
“Hi Mouse!! She’s adorable!” I say, handing her back to Liv. She sits down on her chair with Mouse on her lap. She hands Mouse the bacon and she gobbles it down.
“How’d you get the name?” I ask, curious.
“When I was little I always got a mouse and a dog around the wrong way. I always thought that dogs were called mice. So when I got this little cutie I called her Mouse.”
